    This Friday we are doing a Discord only race night. Ovals on the menu we will do manual restarts and cars that work well in this enviroment.Listening in for instructions is mandatory tonight, otherwise chaos ensues..

    GoFastClub Friday Night OVAL Sprint Races
    November 4, 2022.
    Start 9:00PM US Eastern (NY)
    Race will be 10 laps with a 15 min PRACTICE….NO Qualifying, so RANDOM GRID
    Not sure Castle will be able to do setups for all of these cars so might go to TT and get a set up there to work on. You can always PM Castle for questions about the setups. PLEASE HAVE A SETUP BEFORE THE RACE. Don’t burn your 15min practice trying to get a setup. Remember, the person you are asking for a setup from is trashing their 15 min practice to give you their setup. After the Practice, we go straight to race. Might consider running race fuel load during practice so no issues going straight to race. Will still have the normal 2min before the race to make adjustments if needed.
    To be in the races, YOU MUST BE IN DISCORD voice channel. You don’t have to talk but must be able to hear instructions when given.
    NO PASSING BELOW THE YELLOW LINE. You may get pushed below the Yellow line but no racing below the Yellow line.
    These are sprint races so no restarts.
    PLEASE keep control of your car and keep up with who is around you. This will be tight racing, you are responsible to know where other cars are around you. Let’s not use “I didn’t see you” as an excuse. We are not mules with blinders plowing a field, you should know who is in front of you, on each side of you and behind you.
    If you are making a “run” on cars ahead of you, and it is going to be tight, call out so they know you are there….(those cars that are called out to….this is not a warning and you try to shut the door…too late, you should have seen them coming and had shut it already, leave them room to pass.
    Drafting is great, use it, but don’t take someone out trying to bump draft in cars that CAN’T bump draft. If you have never bump drafted, practice it BEFORE FRIDAY RACES.
    Be patient, you will not win the race at the start. Oval racing takes patience and timing.

    Don’t try to “push” your way into a position, it can take out other folks. If the door is not all the way open, you aren’t allowed to push it open to fit through.
    Folks, oval racing is fast, high energy, quick thinking and planning type of racing. Your line belongs to you, just as the other driver beside you, ahead of you and behind you has a line that belongs to them. You can not encroach on their line if the “door” is not fully open, to do so is bad racing ethics and will be called out.
    ANY AMOUNT of the car next to you means YOU have to LEAVE SPACE. Side drafting is OK, if you can control your car. If you car is loose, then don’t side draft.
    Let’s keep this clean and fun. If we respect each other and care about each others race, not just your own, we will have a great time.

    This week will be a mini series featuring all Porsche's like a Manufacturer's Series.Also will be running the new track Spa-Francochamps which you can access by installing the Beta through Steam .

    There are several AMS2 leagues that I and others participate in on a regular basis so ANJAROO of the ZOOM ZOOM Club decided to host a multi-club,multi-class special event to be repeated bi-monthly. Six members from each club 3 per class. We can fit in one more club if there are anyone interested in joining our friendly competition. Discord is essential as well as full DLC,race times are EST(New York time) so for some it's out of the question. Reply if you are interested..

    If you need a setup, reach out to AcidicCastle or go to TT and pickup a setup. Don’t burn you (or someone else’s) practice trying to figure out a setup.
    To be in the races YOU MUST BE IN DISCORD…Don’t have to talk but need to know if we have to restart the race or lobby.
    Let’s treat the inside WHITE line like the YELLOW line at Daytona….no racing below the WHITE line (1st white line on the lower banking of the oval). You can dodge an incident or if pushed below the white line is ok…BUT do not pass or run along someone with ANY PART OF THE CAR below the WHITE line.
    We will run the AUTO YELLOW CAUTION LAP. Improvements have been made but it still requires your human input to NOT pass someone when the yellow has been thrown. PLEASE respect the other Drivers. When the Yellow is initiated, a large Yellow sign appears on the car you are following at the time the Yellow starts…..DO NOT PASS THAT CAR OR ANY CAR. Let’s make this work. We are smarter than a can of lug nuts (no offense LugNut), so we should be able to make this work and everyone’s race will be great.

    All 3 races will be on FONTANA

    Race 1: Car is Super V8

    Race 2: Car is Formula Retro Gen 1 Barbham BT 44

    Race 3: Car is Group C Vette

    Auto and Manual caution
    Manual START
    Weather will be Default with a mix of clear, light and medium clouds.
    If you need a setup, go to Time Trials in AMS2 and one of us will have a set up there….If AcidicCastle has a lap time, get his setup. Don’t burn you (or someone else’s) practice trying to figure out a setup.
