Please take a look at your own video, analyze how the driver exits Les Combes at 3:08, hear how carefully he feeds the throttle and how slowly the revs increase.
Now watch my in-game video, where i just floor the throttle before the apex and the revs go up until they hit the limiter way before the corner exit.

I don't want a crazy difficult car to drive, i just want it to be closer to what we had in 1.4.8. Were they so wrong back then? I didn't hear anyone complaining of how difficult or unrealistic they were.

To add to that: Derek Bell said "a fabulous car, but considering how thorough Norbert Singer and the team were, it was really quite easy to drive"
What that means exactly is up to interpretation though, could mean in relation to the other Group C cars or in relation to F1 cars or race cars in general of the time.

I enjoyed them in 1.48 as well, and still enjoy them now, you have to be careful out of very slow corners, but I do agree in that they still have a little too much grip under acceleration on low gears. My point was more in that they still drive good in the sim and they were very fast and sophisticated cars for their time, not crude untamable beasts.

Also I don't know if Les Combes has changed from the 80's to the present day apart from the run off area, but it looks much tighter in the real life video compared to the modern version in the game.

That's not what he does. He shifts up a gear first.

Please reduce the power ramp angle to minimum and try this scenario again - i have a hunch what's up...

No he is not shifting up, watch it again at 3:58 and 8:20.
If you can't see anything wrong with my in-game video or you can't see any difference compared to the real-life video, i give up.

At the exact time you stated first, he's absolutely shifting up.

I do see something wrong with your video, but it does look like diff letting the inside tyre spin up easily, like I think Crimson is implying. It does not mean that the car should spin around.

Yes, that car is a bore but according to Gabriel it’s an 87 with a lot less hp. As I stated I’m getting 203mph at the end on the Monza front straight, 962 193mph. So ams2 may be getting it right but prior to 1.5 I don’t recall the massive difference?

that was odd, sounds like you’re slipping the clutch

The unknown is the setting of the turbo, I don’t think they were 85 or higher? I belong to a Group C page (probably like most) and should ask, also they had an inboard turbo dial

Yes, I stated earlier I adjust my ramps for better braking which has its downsides, more wheel spin in 2nd from 5-7k rpm, it’s free(er)A long race I’d change that because I’d burn the rears up

    Now that you mention it...

The real life car had a max boost of 1.4 bar. In game, it does not boost past 1.2. Or at least it always was this way before 1.5, have not tried a hotlap yet.

It will lock the diff stronger on throttle.

The video situation i was able to reproduce and it hints too low locking by the differential (diff clutches having low locking effect) - we can do something about it (even without setup reset) and it will also help the other Gr.C class cars.

@Don Hunter I know what it does, but I wanted a explanation of it might show that the car needs some adjustments. That is what I got from crimson

Damn aftermarket diffs, should've gone with the OEM Spool in the 962 :p (which you can do btw.)
