Agree fully. And the complaint should be that the sound recordings in this video is completely distorted. Pretty phantastic that Reiza is able to simulate this RL recording distortion.
This one's less distorted, but it's relatively quiet: I'd still maintain that the real car does not sound good.
GTE BMW Audio and shifting is awful... This Issue is SOLVED!! Because of the advancement made on this title I just purchased it yesterday 06292001! Well when I got to driving the Cayman Club Sport GT4 it did the same thing! So I got to looking in the config menu and discovered by trial and retrial ( I could fix and force the issue by adjusting the CLUTCH SENSITIVITY ) I had to lower it a few notches. Clutch was not engaging 100% and slipping! And it fixed the sound too! Thx for the posts!
We don't agree on much lately but this we do, the distortion/ static crackle (while not unplayable) certainly does ruin the immersion in a few cars. And unlike the pit limiter, these crackles can't be turned off.
After this video, I think the external sound of bmw m8 on ams2 can be improved. But to say the sound is awful? I think it's over exaggerated
Agree fully with that too. But not sounding good is not the same as refering to a completely distorted sound recording as an "autentic" proof of how the car sounds in RL.
I was troubleshooting last night what these horrible soundbugs where in the GTE's (the corvette is really bad in this regard too). I get the idea of a rev limiter, but please not like this Reiza. Its bound to Main Volume (why?) and isnt even accurate half of the time (i was confused if it was supposed to be stuff scraping the ground at first). And its way too loud. This is literally damaging my ears on 50% systemvolume. Please fix this soon!
Yeah the main bummer is that Reiza has included this sound poo in the Main Volume - so you cant get rid of it. I have completely stopped using AMS2 because of this - eventhough I consider TM and physics great. ByTheWay: I even tried with 25% volume - but you can still hear it. But I guess it will get a lot of new users - at least if there is enough deaf people out there
Salvation for users who dont want to destroy their hearing - completely Possible to delete the awfull rev limiter sound?
Thank you so much! it worked! Thanks for remembering this thread, i wouldnt have catched wind of this solution otherwise. for the record jic someone stumbles upon this: "emptied" the car file under "Automobilista 2\Audio\AMS2\Vehicles\Drivetrain\RevLimiterTC" (so the game still has a file to read, but there is actually no code in it, works with normal texteditor, mainthing is the file is empty/ 0kb), and the wrong sound was gone, game still loads normally & normal car sound is still there. I guess for now we have to do it this way until it hopefully gets adjusted in the near future.
You are wellcome But without being too stubborn critical (IMO ) I personally dont think this will be "adjusted" as you call it. Partly because nobody except a few have raised their voices criticising this sound poo - but mainly because a lot of posters have done the complete opposite by greeting Raiza of introducing this oh so realistic limiter sound.
Latest conserning this limiter sound bug! Deleting/emptying both RevLimiterTC_F_Reiza .banks files is overkill! Possible to delete the awfull rev limiter sound?
