Since iMMERSE by Marty McFly didn't work for me last night (could see red errors in the log), I did a little reading from the coder of DLSS5_Feed.fx's github page. Seems they've moved to Jakob Wapenhensch's ReshadeMotionEstimation. I downloaded the .zip file from there and it all worked. https://github.com/JakobPCoder/ReshadeMotionEstimation It worked for me anyway
FYI I took the tutorial video offline for now since my DLSS5 settings just weren't a good showcase and didn't leak to the big improvements it can actually deliver. Here's a newer screenshot how my tweaked settings look on Laguna Seca in Daylight, it's same replay I used before: Click for Comparison Slider Click for Comparison Slider
I tried it and my FPS dropped from 250 to 50, it looked great though. So I uninstalled. Then when I reinstalled it none of the Add-Ons were showing. Any idea why?
I had the same but I've got them all showing now. Just make sure you have all the new files in the right place. I had deleted them all after I uninstalled the ReShader. I've reinstalled now and everything is working. Even with the big drop in FPS it's still playable and looks great. The tyres on the F1 cars are actually black now not grey.
All the new files in the right place, means what ? I have them inside the AMS 2 main folder, and one file , inside the Reshade folder. I fixed it, I can see all the files, but instead " DLSSNR ACTIVE " on the bottom, I have Waiting for the GAME DLSS
The Error Message looks to me like you didn't install the iMMERSE Launchpad plugin when installing Reshade or your sorting or order of it is wrong. Make sure it looks like this, and you activated it in the sequence of Launchpad -> DLSS 5 Feed -> Addons -> Enable DLSS5 Neural Rendering. If they start in the wrong order it doesn't work New video with Side by Side and live comparisons
I'm not sure is this more of a AMS2 or DLSS5 related issue, but the DLSS5 definitely dont' seem to fix this problem with cars appearing like they aren't on the ground with track right under them appering without proper shadows (real immersion breaker what comes to photorealism when the ground under the car doesn't appear be dark) It's most of the time good, but here and there I see suddenly these (from your video): and no, the cars aren't rolling there with the left side on air, the issue persist some frames later as you can see:
@GFoyle: Yeah there are quite strong artifacts and jitter of details going on in DLSS5. It's still a preview version that is injected via mods. I think there's tons of potential here, but it needs more refinement or per-game tailored solution like only devs can. Maybe it's even worth trying out different motion vector plugins since I don't know if using Launchpad is causing issues too Also it can't really understand what the gripped racing line is, so it sometimes washes it out or in general makes the road surface look wet when it's not. Right now it's more a technical demo to me than something you can really run races with
What worked for me, in addition to the steps mentioned by the OP: Along with nvgx_dlssnr.dll, also place the nvgx_dlss.dll file in the game's root .exe directory. Add all .fx and .fxh files from the link https://github.com/JakobPCoder/ReshadeMotionEstimation mentioned by user RevBillyG into AMS 2's reshade-shaders/Shaders folder; Change the DLSS5_MV_PROVIDER value to 1 in DLSS5_FEED.fx on ReShade's Home tab (enter 1 and press Enter to apply the value). If it still doesn't work, try replacing nvgx_dlssnr.dll with a different version. In some cases, the current version can show a STANDBY/FAILED error and fail to apply the effect in-game.
Hi, so I'm am trying to get this working in VR, and its been a jell of journey. Main issue is getting DLLS Bridge working in VR. If anybody has done this let me know. currently have chatgpt working this out, it got me to getting everything else to hook up, its now working out how to get over the DLSS bridge issues with VR.
I had to update GPU drivers (RTX30xx) to make it "work" in VR. The issues are: 1) performances (fps for me (using oculus cv1 and Steamvr) drop to about 20fps) 2) MAJOR: in vr the depth buffer is not passed correctly, therefore the neural inference is only working on the "2d" image and "some" motion vectors, therefore there are huge amounts of artifacts But, anyways, the depth and natural look is quite stunning to me (now trying to reach out something similar by direct comparison using reshade plain shaders). I tried to have AI working to get the depth buffer in vr, but so far no good results, therefore also all depth-based shaders (e.g. ambient occlusion, rt-illumination, depth-based blur) do not work in vr.
do you have the process you used? I’m still get chat gpt to fix things will let you know. if that works but sounds like you have done something different?
I just followed the guide on OP. The only additional things I did were: - update gpu drivers - downloaded the patched dll file from renodx discord compatible with rtx30xx gpus
it sounded like from your previous message you didn’t get it working in VR? I’m a little confused. I’ve tried everything and ran whole lot of diagnostics and even tried create a new DLSS bridge but it doesn’t work in vr
Here, there is a detailed explanation of exactly what DLSS 5 is currently capable of and where things are headed in the future. The SDK gives game developers the tools to customize the look of their games. I hope Renato and his team make use of it, because DLSS 5 looks absolutely amazing in AMS2.
Nothing new here? It feels like every day there's another big update or a new way to get DLSS 5 working even better.
