Being born in 1991, this era is my "classic" F1 era, where I started to love the sport. Really hyped about those.
wow wonderful! Reiza should increase the helmets textures at the level of F1 2023. Then with the skins will look like real. Nowdays all the graphic cards can handle it
The big IMMERSION update v2.0 for the F1 2000 season is out, download it here. Jump into the cockpit of the Formula V10 Gen2 and be part of the F1 season where Michael Schumacher won his first world driver's championship with Ferrari. For this v2.0 Mod-package all car liveries and in game Reiza-style previews have been reworked to HD resolution and the McLaren, Jaguar and BAR-Honda got updated metallic materials. Two special liveries fill the 24 car slots with the official testing liveries of Arrows and Sauber. Driver suits, gloves and helmets are now included and the custom AI Drivers file has been updated to match all drivers strenght of the 2000 season. I think it's more accurate to just call the car "an early 2000s Williams", as it's more of an amalgamation of multiple Williams(es) than a representation of any specific car/year. If you take a look, the outside of the car seems to have a simplified version of the 2001 aero package, the steering wheel is from the 2002 car since it has extra switches at the bottom, and the engine seems to be of 2003 spec since if you trust the naming scheme of the game's audio files. Plus, while the inclusion of driver aids for the car implies it's a post-2000 car, the ban on driver aids was lifted in 2001 because the FIA had trouble catching teams who were using the technology pre-2001 (I heavily recommend watching this video on the subject, it's a fun watch!).
Loving this....good thing about the 2000 season is AMS2 has nearly all of the tracks too....having a blast re-living this season..even though im getting my arse kicked by the Ferraris and Mclarens!!!
Probably the best "skin pack" (it's obviously much more than that, but you know how it's meant) ever created for this game. Definition, colour fidelity and detail is impeccable.
Just noticed some slight naming discrepancies regarding drivers that I noticed when double-checking Wikipedia for info. The main thing is that there's a spelling mistake where Ricardo Zonta's name shows up in-game as "Riccardo Zonta". The other bit is that both Mika Häkkinen & Gastón Mazzacane are missing the accents in their names in-game, which isn't a big deal by itself but it's odd when considering that Marc Gené isn't missing an accent. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys already knew about the above 'problems', but I thought it might be good just to mention it for future reference as it didn't take very long at all for me to go and fix the names in the AI override file.
I downloaded this one yesterday and it's a really nice mod, lots of attention to detail and it puts you right back there in one of my favourite F1 eras. Thanks ever so much for your work it's greatly appreciated.
Engine spec is definitely from 2000. BMW redesigned the engine for 2001 and it was already hitting 880 HP.
