Many thx to the whole team! Just a small question. It's not specific to your work but like in the preview above the external view of the helmet visor looks often completely black. Is this a shader issue? Or is the visor texture too dark?

 

Its not something we can fix.

 

i use a Different helmet spec for that model helmet in 90 91 92 93. visor looks nicer imo. cant remember what set it came with original

worked it out.. Roby just add this to each of the formula classic folders renaming to replace existing helmet_spec for 88 90 91 92 93 and McLaren 4/5b 4/6 4/7 4/8 with exeption of the McLaren mp4/4, weirdly that uses a different helmet model still last i looked

 

Would you allow us to use this texture in future skinpacks / updates ?

100% go for it... as I mentioned I found the base image elsewhere then tweeked to suit my desire ingame just like I do with most textures for personal use and accuracy.. love your work. So by all means anything that can make these awesome packages better for community im all for.

 

I don't know if it has been mentioned or brought up however with the #20 Marc Gene Minardi there is a tear with the livery that I hope will get fixed in the future however it is not of any priority right now.

Whilst I appreciate that, you don't have to rush. It is not earth-shattering or immersion breaking.

 

The 1986 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 40th season of FIA Formula One Motor Racing.

It featured the 1986 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1986 Formula One World Championship for Manufacturers, both of which commenced on 23 March and ended on 26 October after sixteen races. The 1986 season mark the height of turbo-powered engines - with up to 1300 HP, the F1 has never seen more horsepower.

The Drivers' Championship was won by Alain Prost, and the Manufacturers' Championship was won by Williams-Honda.

The Championship culminated in a battle between Williams drivers Nigel Mansell and Nelson Piquet and McLaren driver Alain Prost at the final race, the Australian Grand Prix. Mansell's tyre exploded and Piquet was brought in for a precautionary pit stop for tyres as a result, leaving Prost to win the race and his second consecutive Drivers' Championship. Mansell, Piquet and Prost, along with Lotus' Ayrton Senna, dominated throughout the season and formed what was dubbed as the "Gang of Four".



This Mod-package contains car liveries, in game Reiza-style previews and driver helmets, suits & gloves for the Formula Classic Gen 1 Model 1, Formula Classic Gen 1 Model 2 and the Lotus 98T from the 1986 season.

You will also find in the formula_classic_g1m2 folder the very unique "yellow" McLaren skin of Rosberg, as seen in Estoril. The first and only time the iconic McLaren livery was presented in two different colors. Just rename in the xml the 2 files for body and preview.

Included is also an custom AI Drivers file to match the 1986 season. All driver skills have been adjusted and finetuned track-specifically for qualy and race performance, in dry and wet conditions.
