IMMERSION Modding Group mods

F1 1992 Season by IMMERSION Modding Group (downoad here)

It featured the 1992 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1992 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 1 March and ended on 8 November.

Nigel Mansell won the Drivers' Championship and Williams-Renault won the Constructors' Championship.

Mansell won the first five races of the season and sealed the championship at the Hungarian Grand Prix in mid-August, with five races still to run, becoming the first Briton to win the championship since James Hunt in 1976. #WINNING!

Beautiful package, thanks so very much for making AMS2 even more gorgeous, guys! The '92 F1 season was the first one, I watched every race of. Good memories. Will hop in one of these beauties later. So many to choose from...

wonderful work, thank you very much. Would it be possible for you to work on the Reiza formulas, they deserve helmets and suits. When your diary is less full...

Awesome as usual, tis a shame that longer races are useless due to the model 2 fast corner issue on all tracks when on high fuel.

What on Earth is this?

Weird, ive done many full GPs in the 92 and 93 cars and not had this issue with Ai... are you using an Override Ai on Medium??

It only happens with the model 2 "Williams" of the HitechG1. No custom AI, just the names. Just try to do a long 80m+ race on any track that has fast sweeping corners and you will see them spin until they burn some fuel. Try Barcelona 91 for example and see them lose it on Nissan corner.

I had just 20 min to try this mod out, but I must say it’s incredible work you guys have done, everything it’s top notch, it’s like time travel. Congrats for all the hard work and for delivering this very high quality mod! I’m eager to deep dive and get lost this weekend! Thanks. Ps: helmets and suits are incredible too! Well done

Thank you for these amazing liveries!

Now we only need to have the sparks in VR fixed(OR have finally an option to disable them) to fully enjoy these cars in VR too.

Small question related to helmet. Do you know how to modify the helmet cam overlay? If I want to apply some stickers for example or a visor strip or cha ge color of it. I don't file any file related to it...

I am not even sure its possible

I think it is as different car have different kind of helmet cam. I think is a 3d object but I don't find the location

Cannot help, but I hope there is a way. I like your idea.

Wanted to do something like this!

i'm actually writing the new dev' update with some exciting news coming for the ams2 community.

Dev Update - March 2024 - Immersion Modding Group

Dear AMS2 Community,

We're excited to present the latest breakthrough from the Immersion Modding Group: the XML Editor. This ingenious tool originally developped by @Pwal simplifies the modification of F1 Season packages, promising to revolutionize your AMS2 experience. Let's go deeper into its capabilities and the exciting possibilities it unlocks.

Introducing the XML Editor: Streamlining Customization

The XML Editor is a game-changer, designed to streamline customization with unparalleled ease. With just a click, users can effortlessly modify F1 Season packages, opening up tons of possibilities. From mid-season driver changes to special liveries, this tool empowers users to improve their racing experience with unprecedented precision.

Innovation 1: Mid-Season Driver Changes

One of the XML Editor's standout features is its ability to replicate mid-season driver changes, offering a faithful recreation of historic F1 races. For example, in the 1991 season, users can witness the transfer of drivers among teams like Jordan, Benetton, Ferrari, and Minardi. This innovation adds a new layer of authenticity to AMS2, allowing users to immerse themselves fully in the dynamic world of Formula 1.

Innovation 2: Special Liveries

The XML Editor introduces the concept of special liveries, allowing users to adapt team liveries based on specific Grand Prix circumstances. Whether it's complying with tobacco advertising regulations or showcasing sponsor partnerships, special liveries offer a glimpse into the rich tapestry of F1's marketing history. From iconic moments like McLaren's Gulf livery at Monaco 2021 to heartfelt tributes like Mercedes' homage to Niki Lauda at Monaco 2019, these special skins add depth and character to the AMS2 racing experience.

Innovation 3: "What If" Scenarios

For the imaginative among us, the XML Editor enables the creation of "what if" scenarios, inviting users to explore alternative F1 timelines. Imagine scenarios like Alesi joining Williams in 1991 or Senna driving for Ferrari—these tantalizing possibilities add a new dimension to AMS2, fueling speculation and sparking creativity within the community.

Upcoming Release: F1 1993 Season

In addition to the XML Editor, we're thrilled to announce the upcoming release of the F1 1993 Season for Formula Hitech Gen 2. Featuring iconic cars equipped with era-specific electronic aids, such as traction control and ABS, this season promises exhilarating racing moments reminiscent of Prost's 4th title. With meticulously HD car skins, helmets, suits, gloves, and finely tuned AI performance, the F1 1993 Season is poised to deliver an unforgettable AMS2 experience.

Stay tuned as we continue to push the limits of immersion and realism in Automobilista 2. Your support drives our passion, and we can't wait to share more exciting updates with you in the near future.

Happy racing!

Sincerely,

The Immersion Modding Group

So nice!! Your work is reminding me more and more of GP4 with CSM, now we only need the equivalent of GPxpatch to really make AMS2 the true GP4 successor.

I assume with that tool it will make it "easier" to have track specific performance for the drivers, you can sort of do it already, but then the XML file would get a little too big with all the overrides.

Great job and a thousand thanks for your passion and work!

Thank you for your comment.

Actually @jusk has already brings some track specific performance, and that XML editor won't change much about this, because you can control everything in the AI (including track specific) through the customAI folder file.

But yeah, this tool is certainly going to offer a new life and more immersion to our skinpacks. We can't wait to share more backmarkers F1 teams for the F1 1991 season in a season, when many fought to be qualified in the F1 grid
