Man this is pretty much perfect timing for myself, just got Suzuka and Adelaide to finish off my 92 season. Ol Nige is 4 points ahead of me, going to be tough catching him.
Screenshoot by @Brainbug Just 3 days to go before releasing the mod. * You will have the option to switch from Andretti to Häkkinen with the XML Selector
I have built a spreadsheet for this, a bit rough round the edges but works well and has a dashboard. Thinking of developing it to include more seasons and improved admin as well as incorporating the xml editors from immersion in some way. Happy to share it
Here is the spreahseet for tracking a championship so far. I have it setup for 1992 season and I am still working on it. but if anyone wants to develop further then great. F1 Championship v4
Meant to add. Simple to use, just enter race positions into the Reace_Position sheet and the workbook will calculate points and placing by team and driver and updates the dashboard to show driver and team standings as well as round by round driver and team position in the championship showing only those drivers and teams with points. No sheets are protected so easy for you to modify further if needed.
Thanks Alain. Just want to thank you for all your incredible work, really takes me back to Geoff Crammond modding skins days.
Lets celebrate the latest Prost / Senna rivalry. Formula 1 1993 Season, coming tomorrow for Automobilista 2
F1 1993 Season by IMMERSION Modding Group (download here) It featured the 1993 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1993 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 14 March and ended on 7 November. Alain Prost won his fourth and final Drivers' Championship. Williams-Renault won their second consecutive Constructor's Championship. At the end of the season, Prost retired from Grand Prix racing, bringing an end to an era in which he and Senna had largely dominated the sport. 1993 marked the height of the use of electronics technology in Formula One, with perhaps the most advanced and sophisticated Fl cars ever built. Nearly all cars in 1993 had an active suspension system, which kept the car's ride height consistent throughout a lap, making the aerodynamics of the car more efficient and effective. Besides systems like traction control, anti-lock brakes, power steering, a semiautomatic gearbox, and a push-to-pass system, Williams for example also tested a continuously variable transmission, while Benetton-Ford tested a four-wheel steering system late in the season. A lot of these systems would be banned for 1994. This mod contains car liveries, in-game Reiza-style previews, driver helmets, suits & gloves for the Formula HiTech Gen2 Model l, Formula HiTech Gen2 Model 2, Formula HiTech Gen2 Model 3, and the Mclaren 4/8 from the 1993 season. Also included is a custom Al Drivers file to match the 1993 season. All driver skills have been adjusted and fine-tuned. The XML Selector allows you to customize the mod in a very simple way: Go to your Automobilista 2 folder and run the "F1_Season_1993_XML_Selector.bat" file. Select a scenario by typing the option number of your choice and hit enter. The mod gives you following scenario options to choose from (more may be added in future): 1. What should i say? Very big thank you 100 times. Phenomenal!!!!!! Greets and kisses to the complete Team ! I fixed for myself the directory-place of the Senna-livery (McLaren8_Suzuka.dds), because it wasn't load in my case, because with my avatar and on this day i had to drive "The Magic". So keep on racing !
It's so appropriate to release it today, 30 years after what was a terrible day (and a terrible weekend). We lost two drivers, one was a veteran finally getting his shot at F1, the other, a legend and maybe the most charismatic driver of all-time. Thank you very much!
Hey folks, made some major updates. Improved the admin and added a season select option and code to change between 1991, 1992 and 1993 seasons. This function will reset all results and change the drivers teams and tracks as per the respective admin sheet. Limited to 26 drivers for each season and 13 teams for 1992 and 1993 with 14 for 1991. Also needed are image files which are also attached. You need to edit the RefreshAll macro to change the file path for the images. F1 Championship v8 F1 Seasons
Great skins. And definitely would change Häkkinen to Andretti! How about 1997 season skins or update to current one?
As always, amazing skins/carset and really fun to race. Anything you guys do is must haves in my book.
Congratulations on the release and thank you very much for contributing this beautiful package IMG! Top notch work of you, as always. Looking forward to test them out soon. If I may point out one thing, the numbers on the nose of the Williams' threw me a bit off as they seemed really big to me. So I looked up photos of the FW15C and as you can see, the Renault lettering should be on the nose cone below the mounting. In your livery it's above and the #0 looks stretched. Sure, the Hitech Gen2 Model2 is not exactly like the FW15C and maybe it will look worse putting those parts further down and making them smaller, I don't know. Would you make an attempt? No biggie if you don't. Thanks again guys!
I was planning on customizing the Williams a little better anyway. and also to make the red and white stripes a little narrower, which is a bit difficult on the model towards the nose, e.g. if you draw a straight line, there is still a curve on the car, etc. Well, I'll adjust the numbers right away. But it will take some time! For example, in your photo the 0 looks smaller than the elf sponsor and in this one the 2 seems to be bigger than the elf sponsor. But now I find the number a bit too big anyway
