I think it is best to wait until version 1.3 and then test everything to see how it works. Until then, it is best to create it as you see fit and then build on it.I will gladly adopt your settings if they are better, so much the better for everyone. Oh yes, the Nissan is not yet in beta, but we'll see when Reiza releases it.

Having authentic drivers does so much for the sim.
Thank you for your outstanding work!

You could add the test cars to the mclaren_mp4_12.xml
Just add "Testcar" to the driver livery name. ("McLaren MP4/12 Testcar #(9 and/or #10)"
I believe Pedro de la Rosa and Alex Wurz were the test drivers in the day ...

    Hello to all,
What we should also try to do is to keep the lap times of the drivers from the first to the last as low as possible. Because let's face it, if you can't get the BOP right in real racing, then at least we want to have more battles and equal opportunities in the game. With one and the same vehicle this is probably easier and also feasible, with different ones less so, but the differences should not be too great.

I'll go into testing and adjusting as soon as I find the time after the update, GT1 is my favorite class IRL so I want it to be as good as possible. Will share it asap.

Wurz was test driver for Benetton in 97 and replaced Berger for 3 races, who had a jaw surgery and to do some family stuff, because his father died during this time. Wurz reached one podium (Silverstone). De la Rosa had no contract in F1 that year. As far as I can remember, the McLaren team did not hire a test drtiver for that season, Hakkinen/Coulthard did all the work themselves.;)

Important: Now the custom AI driver files should be named with the vehicle class name rather than the vehicle model name.

And now you can customise how many cars of each model gets loaded in a event, to create custom grids.

More details in the first post.

Note: this should be present in the next build after the time of this writting (Not sure if already present in current build).

I found it better for the individual car models!
also because I personally only made skins for one model of the class. I'm sure you have your reasons for this, but for now I'll wait for version 1.3 before I change anything.

Thanks so much for the update to this. I am trying to create 6 custom drivers for DPi and am having a hard time getting them to show up. Does the formatting in this file look correct? I am saving it as an XML in my CustomAIDrivers folder, but when I create a race with 6 AI drivers I am just getting random names.

Hi Brett, first paragraph misses the <\driver> line at the end of the paragraph

So I took the examples from the main post and created .xmls for them. Set the AI to 3 for the Stock V8 and 2 for the F-Classic_Gen3 and could not even get the examples to show up.

I also took the older custom_ai file that was working before the update and changed it to the sprint race file name as it just contained the sprint race cars and that file is also not working.

It seems like the class trigger isn't build-in jet, or the list with class names provided to use by gian contains errors
If I use the override folder name of the custom AI, it is working for me (single Class files)
