There are some issue where the arms/levers do break due the load on the brake pedal when pressing/braking. So I would go CSL Elite LC. People will upgrade anyway or sell them without much loss. Or just go V3's or HE/Mecca.

But CSL Elite LC + CSL elite / CSW 2.5 or T300 + T3PA or Pro will give the beginner an insight how it simracing is. If it's nothing they can sell it without minimal loss or even play break even or even, due Covid, sell it for little more. I bought a CSL Elite LC a 1.5 year ago for 230 + sendingcosts. or so.. I sold it around summer for 225, lol. Bought HE's

Edit: If you can get your hands on a G27, so wheel, pedals and shifter, and order GTeye pedal springs. It's a good package too. Specially the pedals feel lots better then. It's not superultrasupergood but it can give someone casual fun before upgrading or deciding simracing is the way to go.

Have not heard about these problems. I am looking to upgrade my G29 pedals. In Europe we have 2 year warranty, so risk is limited I suppose. I have heard bad things about customer service of Fanatec. But also heard that the V3 pedals are great. So I am not sure which ones to buy as the V3s are quite a bit more expensive and the difference can be used to upgrade my wheel.
