Wired for sure. Oooo I'll check steam overlays. Think they might be enabled.

They were enabled so have disabled them. Same issue stutter in to T1 and then another half way around.

Have left Steam SS settings as per above 100%/50 and GPU and CPU frame times are solid around 5ms.

I'm clutching at straws now and have unplugged the 49" curved and connected back up my 2nd really old Dell (VGA) monitor which has been disconnected as a result of troubleshooting this issue and same.

I'm running the game in 1024x768@60 and windowed whilst in VR. I've tried default game settings after reinstalling it all and it makes no difference.

I'm lucky to have 2 Valve's and 2 sets of cables (not sure if I've mentioned that) and still have the same issue. Just don't understand it.

I was yes. This all began testing OpenVR_FSR, vrperfkit and OpenComposite with OpenXR to see if any would help but the stutters stopped me in my tracks.

They’ve all been removed now though deleting games folders, document folders and a fresh install of the OS.

Right now I’ve not made a single change to nvidia control panel after a clean install, the game other than screen size and SteamVR. Figured if I’ve got stutters without any of that then there’s no point even trying any of it to improve the visuals.

Ok ... I m using openVR and except the usual freeze ( most of the Time GPU and CPU goes to idle for 1-2 sec) it is ok on my side. CPU 5 msec and GPU 9 msec ( 80% load)

Getting worse now. Blew the game away again and my Documents folder and now everytime I exit a session the game freezes with the Automobilista logo on screen. Have to close it down either through steamvr or taskmgr.

Taskmgr reports power usage very high for it and not responding.

    Antivirus ?

From Time to Time I have AMS2 launched but not displayed on the flat screen and splach screen with continue msg on the Helmet... The only way to make or work is a reboot.

Still have the same issues here with the micro stutters/dropped frames.

Interestingly they don't appear in the OBS/OpenVR recordings. The recording is smooth. That seems odd but also important so what would that point to? If OpenVR doesn't show the stutters but I see them very badly in the headset? As I mentioned before I've tried 2 x Valve Indexes, and 2 sets of cables. Same GPU though.

I did purchase a new PSU last week. I came across a PSU calculator from bequiet (be quiet!). After inputting my setup it told me the lowest I needed was an 850W. This machine was built by scan.co.uk with a 650w almost 3 years ago. After speaking to the tech team there, they said it "seems" power related so I pulled the pin. I bought a 1200w to rule that out completely.

Still have stutters though and only still in AMS2. Same issue in AMS2 Beta stream. And same in PC2.

    Challenging issue, for sure.

    Just found this:

Has a 4090 an OC'd 12900 and a Valve index and still gets lots of stutters on AMS2. Maybe it's not just me? o_O

One thing that should work well, assuming your monitor support variable refresh rate (G-Sync or Freesync):

    - with RTSS, limit your framerate for AMS2AVX.exe to you monitor refresh rate minus one: example: 60Hz -> 59Hz limit
    - in AMS2 settings, disable VSYNC
    - in NVIDIA Control panel, in the profile for AMS2, enable V-SYNC

Good for you .. what I Say is this problem is often reported ( général issue not ams2 specific).. I cannot comment specifically as I m still having a GTX série.

However AMS2 have it's own shuttering issue with shuttering especially during ranked session

I have not experienced this either. I've always thought it was something to do with the 30 series of cards and put me off pursuing one.

I changed my 1080ti for a 4090 and except the usual Shutter/freeze from the game I don t experience others as you describe

I m wondering if you tv is able to digest the bit rate your card is providing.
Turning is the worth scénario considering image refresh
Is this happend with lower résolution as well?
A.HDR mode you could disable ?
A gaming mode on the TV ?
Do you have an another monitor to try ?
