More “spiritual successor” cars like the Milano GT36?

I have to say that I really appreciate what Reiza did with the Milano GT36.

Of course, everyone can clearly understand what car it is inspired by, but in my opinion it is a very well executed “spiritual successor” to the Ferrari 360 GT / 360 GTC / N-GT era. The model looks convincing, the sound has the right character, and most importantly the car feels great to drive.

I also think it was the right decision to include it as free content, since it is not an officially licensed Ferrari. That made the whole thing feel honest, fair and much easier to appreciate.

Personally, I would really like to see more content of this kind in the future, especially for historical endurance classes where official licences can be difficult or unrealistic to obtain.

For example, the 2004-2006 GT endurance era still had some very important Ferrari machinery, such as the 360 GT/GTC/N-GT, the 550 GTS Maranello, the 575 GTC and later the F430 GTC. Cars inspired by that kind of machinery could help complete the grids and make the experience much more immersive, especially alongside the existing GT1/GT2 content.

Of course, real licences are always preferable when possible. But if the alternative is leaving important gaps in certain classes, I think cars like the Milano GT36 are a very good compromise.

I would be curious to know what other users think about this approach.

From what I read and heard, the response by the community was almost unanimously positive.

The question now is if that was done exclusively for the GT2 class because it would have been a one-car class otherwise but I think chances are good for more :D

The Milano was only added because GT2 wouldve only been a one car class because of it, and the Porsche vs Ferrari battle being the biggest draw of GT2 during that era. While not impossible, I think it is highly unlikely for more Milanos to appear, especially in classes that are well-populated (GT3, GT1 2005, LMDh, etc)

Yeah I edited it after you quoted it, I did not specifically mean Milanos but other cars/manufacturers in that manner

I think the same thing applies to other manufacturers as well

Ferrari already refused Reiza in the past unfortunately, so I can understand why they went with the Milano approach instead.

But honestly, considering the level of licences AMS2 has managed to secure in the last couple of years (Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati, Dodge etc.), I still think some of the remaining gaps could realistically be filled over time.

And who knows, maybe a couple of important manufacturers could still arrive this year as well.

Of course, but just remember that Reiza is not going to be able to "fill gaps" as much as some folks may like, especially in classes that are already well populated. That isnt to say that existing classes won't have cars added, I would bet money on that happening, just that it may not be to the degree we want or even expect. AMS 2's classes (atleast the ones with a wide verity cars that participated in them IRL) will never be 1:1 to reality, infact outside of maybe the modern GT's and LMDh's they probably won't even get all that close. It sucks but it's the reality of licensing especially for a smaller studio like Reiza.

And to be clear when the folks at Reiza talk about "filling gaps" its more referring to classes rather than cars. Gaps like the current lack of 00s F1, 90s Supertourers, 70s sportscars, and 00s DTM to use examples that were announced during the 2026 dev update

Edit: normally dont like adding something because of a dislike. But if you dont like what im saying then I recommend you read this part of the 2026 dev blog.
