Hi guys! I'm one of the core team members on SimFeedback/SFX-100 community (I handle docs and a bit of community stuff in my spare time). If you haven't heard of it - it's a DIY high performance open source actuator coupled with a nice piece of software to read game output and turn into motion signals. Hundreds and hundreds have been built around the world. There will be no doubt a bunch of fully stoked motion rig users to see the AMS2 release. We've got a loyal little following on AMS1

We currently have a telemetry provider for PCars2. So if AMS2 uses the same telemetry output, we're probably in business from day 1. If not would it be possible to connect with a developer to understand what the telemetry output is (eg shared memory/UDP/?, and what data is being sent) - I'd be honoured to write a telemetry provider (that's essentially a plugin in Simfeedback) to get SimFeedback talking to AMS2 :)

Would be fully stoked to have this bad boy come alive in AMS2 :)

Thanks and good luck for the beta, looking forward to seeing it.

    Hi, Rowan!

Indeed it will be the same API from Project Cars 2. There were no changes as far as I know.

Hey RowanH! That belt tensioner system looks awesome on the picture in your post. Do you have the link to the build plans?

    Hi guys
For my motion rig working (BlueTiger) i need to activate "Shared Memory" option in PCARS2 in UI Interface.
Have you keep a possibility to activate "shared memory" option in your UI interface ?

Thank you, I am looking forward to the Beta version.

i think , when Heitor Facuri Cicoti writes "will have same API" then it will be there.

Awesome, that is great to know, thanks @Heitor Facuri Cicoti - I will pass this onto the SimFeedback community so they know. I'm going to be unfortunately away from my sim rig on launch day, but you can be sure I'll by trying it out soon !! Great stuff :)

@mrjiffy6 that's not a belt tensioner, but an AC Servo based G-Seat that I'm working on. You can find out more here with some videos of it in action here: DIY G-Seat Prototype #3 - the power pack - RowanHick.com I'm waiting for some parts to come from China so I can get the next round of testing done on it, but obviously there's more pressing things going on in the world right now, so might be awhile.

Great to here that the pcars2 API will work.
As soon as it is working I can provide an updated version of CREST2.
I only need the used SharedMemory.h and the memory map object name to find the data in the memory.
In pcars2 it is currently "$pcars2$". The probability is high that this will change ;-)

i think the chance is high, that they change the token and , hopefully, fix some inconsitencies in shared memory and UDP protocol.
Current state seems to be original pCARS, as with a little tweak activated, apps like RST, CrewChief and others work.

I noticed this YouTube video in my feed yesterday. Hopefully it will help some of the SFX owners to get up and running.

Yes, it work nice in BETA 1 and my motion rig works.
But in Beta 2 this hack (ui:pcars) don't work and impossible to access to shared memory.
    Any idea ?

I don't use the SFX platform myself so am not able to offer a solution. Perhaps you could ask the video creator in the comments section of that linked video and he may be able to help :)

@Heitor Facuri Cicoti ditto ! :) I was too busy at work to even get 10mins of testing in with the UI hack before beta 2 came out.

@mrjiffy6 .. check out my latest blog post ;)

@Heitor Facuri Cicoti thank you for have enable "Shared Memory" in Beta 3.
But it don't work for me. It's possible to activate in AMS2 the mode Pcars1 or Pcars2 but my motion simulator don't move.
For testing i tried with CrewChief software configured in mode Pcars1 et Pcars2 but it's same thinks, nothing.

The shared memory works nice for me in Beta 1 BUT only with PCARS2 UI (mode : -ui:pcars2).

I think that when you deleted the Pcars 2 UI in Beta2 you also deleted part of the code containing the initialization of shared memory.
In beta 2 I tested by copying the default.sav file from the BETA1 version but it didn't work either.

    Thank you.

Motion is working well via SimTools albeit more tuning will be needed.

What and where would the Extra 2 output be used?

    TIA
