Quick test of the new Group C stuff. Do like.

 

Anyone else finding the new Group C's suspiciously easy to drive? I know hard doesn't necessarily mean realistic, but I figured something with as much grunt as these would be a little lighter at the rear than they seem to be. Fun nonetheless, probably my two current fav' things to drive.

 

Loving the new physics update, feels great even when the front lifts flat out at spa lmao...

 

Is the physics really real?
If something like this happened in real should not the car flip, like here?

OK, it is about 10 years later but the ground effect of that group C cars was much more than in 1998 therefore the reaction should be the same or much heavier.

 

Probably but it was still a shock as I was driving all afternoon with nothing like this lol.

Tutorial for custom liveries.
It is quite possibly the lowest quality video ever made, but there isn't much out there for the actual process of making custom liveries for this game.

So I am doing "100%" length races on my stream. I do 2 2 hour practices followed by what the game sets for qualifying and then 100% length race.

I was doing "practice 1" of my current week in my SP championship and getting frustrated. Turns out my throttle was over sensitive and full throttle by only 1/4 of the way pushed.

The next 13 minutes is what followed. I ended up getting a PB on the track (albeit a slow time still) just because I could actually gas out of corners after the fact. This was those 13 minutes!

The Formula Classic Gen 1 cars(1986) are a little bit twitchy on maximum boost, lol.

With this car, gears 1 & 2 are basically useless. First gear definitely is!
Second gear has such a narrow optimum and insane power band, that its often better to stay in 3rd gear in the slower turns, and let the insane torque pull you out of them, making this a 3-speed car in essence!
