I see lots of AMS2 videos everywhere; what Community need is a track guide, maybe?!

 

Only posted as a short outake from 10 laps online with ai and 3 humans. Ai have incidents of their own and also with human in Porsche @ 4.17min
. The Ai Also can race close and yield (and get away with grassy stuff! but not always. 6 of 1 and 1/2 dozen of other!
. AI are at 112/90 min real weather (turned wet later) Green Bmw is also human and ai will pounce if in error. That was true for all 3 humans. (test video of ai pace and real weather)

 

Another week and another round of the ANSL GTE Championship. This time we are at Bathurst in rather questionable conditions. In VR using the HP Reverb G2, on a DOF Reality H3 motion rig and using voice control on Crewchief to control pit strategy.

 

I stream ams2 on my twitch several nights a week at around 21:15/21:45 cet, mostly do open lobbies with nice and fun combo's, i will not post links to every single video here, but you are more than welcome to have a look yourself: Twitch

the RWB Porsche Cup event went to Long Beach for another two rounds of racing, one being held at daytime, the other one at night. So i was giving it a shot too for the very first time and was very impressed.

Especially at night this track looks absolutely amazing!

So, I had a bit of an idea while putting in some laps around Daytona. The classic 1100hp+ F1 cars still allow you to mess with gear ratios and Daytona would be the perfect place to do a top speed test. Made a minimal drag setup, long ratios, turned off damage (because the engine blows in a minute or so), and raised the ride height to keep it from bottoming out, and it hit 427kph (265mph) down the back straight.

Recipe for simracing happiness:

1. Build an immersive rig.
2. Have an excellent camera viewpoint.
3. Set the AI as high as you can stand it.
4. Treat the AI like they are real cars with real people in them.
5. Enjoy an intense race.

If you can spare a few minutes, please put on your headphones and watch this. The AI's behaviour is mostly very, very good - as is the driver's. AMS2, like all other sims, has good and bad points. It can be frustrating at times, but it can also be like this:

 

Jumping straight in, blind to both the car and circuit. I had a few too many arguments with the walls here, but that's on me. The car is immense fun! This track is like a Brazilian Norisring, lol.
