Recipe for simracing happiness:
1. Build an immersive rig.
2. Have an excellent camera viewpoint.
3. Set the AI as high as you can stand it.
4. Treat the AI like they are real cars with real people in them.
5. Enjoy an intense race.
If you can spare a few minutes, please put on your headphones and watch this. The AI's behaviour is mostly very, very good - as is the driver's. AMS2, like all other sims, has good and bad points. It can be frustrating at times, but it can also be like this:
Jumping straight in, blind to both the car and circuit. I had a few too many arguments with the walls here, but that's on me. The car is immense fun! This track is like a Brazilian Norisring, lol.
A very wet league race with Automobilista 2 All Nation Sim League's GTE Championship Round 5. 23 laps around Silverstone, mandatory pit stop and changing weather. In VR using the HP Reverb G2 and on a DOF Reality H3 motion rig.
Here is my time trial lap, sorry bout the crappy recording but i still haven't bothered to find a triple screen recording solution.
Also, im sorry RSR for being so unkind to your box
Not my Imola TT lap, but a bit of playing around with the Carrera:
This chap once again enjoys AMS2 far too much...
Hello mates some AMS2 goodness for you!
Hoping to get heat into tyres. (little chance)
Default Car setup. 1974 Porsche 911 Test
Testing AI 120/100 (and me lol)
Thunderstorm Fun. Limits of grip
Accelerator pedal test (sensitivity)
Messy yes but shedload of fun
Anyone remember this, the sticky tarmac bug? Seems its re-surfaced after the update. I'll be making a bug report on it shortly. Its intermitent, but its definately back. Checked and validated files, all fine, anyone else getting this after the update?
One lap of the Nordschleife in the newly released PORSCHE RSR 3.0 from 1974 driven with clutch, H-Shifter and VR headset. Unlimited thanks to Steelcast27 for the baseline setup. See his comprehensive setup video
The changes I made from his setup were to increase the number of clutches to 10 as I like to rotate the car with a heavy right foot and an occasional bit of left foot brake. I also dropped the front ARB by one click and upped the rear by two clicks (one click may be more sensible but two is more fun). Otherwise I moved the brake bias forward a couple of percent and increased the brake power to 90% as well as increasing the top speed by changing 5th gear to a 1:1 setting and upping 2nd through 4th by a click.
