Gave the Caterham Superlight a try around Monaco, very fun!
I gave them a try .....
I had issues with replay enabled and had to turn it off to get it to work properly and just use the record option, that was a while ago though.
My old machine isn't that different to what's in your sig (i7 4790, GTX 970, 16GB DDR3) and it worked fine. Admittedly with that I wasn't maxing much out, but it was maintaining 90fps while recording. It uses an exclusive encoder on the card (nvENC) to make it happen so it shouldn't affect performance at all, because it theoretically isn't being used if you're not doing so. It's generally something somewhere else messing things up if it does go a bit wonky.
I can't understand how broke has the brain who buy this cars in the real life for a trackday use, is just insane and it is safer to play russian roulette...
Great feelings under rain with a V12
I'd never heard of this track before now, super fun circuit. Gonna try some other cars around it tonight.
I hope you like it, I'm not the best in doing videos. they are @4k resolution. Just to show how great the cars look (and they feel quite good in Early Access) and how the weather and the time progression is working.
Maximum settings with my HP Reverb Pro just for demonstration purposes.
Nice vids about the Reverb. I always wanted to see how it looks.
Ultra-high resolution by default, and a little extra SS too? Wow that must totally eliminate SDE, lol.
I couldn’t deal with the resultant frame rate dips though.
MSAA is a total FPS killer for me, so I have it set to low on my Rift S.
I’m intrigued - do you even need MSAA at all, with a base res so high and with some SS?
Edit: I didn’t see the ‘for demonstration purposes’ part. Lol.
Yeah as mentioned this was simply a one-off demonstration video for YouTube. The settings I actually drive with is much less resulting in nearly the max 90 fps the Reverb can display. All the extra eye candy means nothing while driving at 180+mph, wheel to wheel. I'd only turn it all up for replay and screenshots.
MSAA is the total killer. I use Low and it looks as good as it does in High. That's an automatic 25-30% increase right there. I should just turn it off with my SS at 150%.
