I think one of my favorite things were the track introductions with that music. The racing was on par with other console racers of the time, certainly no Grand Prix, but on par with Super Monaco. Plus you could actually make setups per track. I also liked the scenarios that highlighted each race of the season. It definitely wasn't the best game but had some great ideas I wish we saw in modern F1 games like the recreation of popular moments in racing.

The very name Spa, references water, and there’s always plenty of it in these parts… I’m not sure if these a.i are unnaturally fast in the wet, or I have to get my skills and setup sorted out!
Also, the visible tread on these wet tyres... well let's just say that it could look better!

 

Decided to take a dive into modded cars for a change. This one actually drives nice and racing multiple gives a more "club" like feel rather than emulating some championship.

I won't tag Renato and the Reiza team (they are too busy) but I think they would appreciate that many of them are currently locked in an intense battle with Timo in a short GT3 championship. It's a compliment to Reiza's work that Timo applies himself so much.

You want intensity? Timo brings the fire, as do (AI) Renato, Domago and Rob.

5 lap (test) race around Monza Historic (no chicane) in the Formula Classic Gen 1's.
These cars seem to drive pretty nicely after the latest patches (I'm having to do some work on my differential setup for the Sauber Mercedes C9, so I suspect things vary considerably from car to car).
I think the AI still needs a little improvement though for these cars, as they don't seem to tune their cars enough to reach the same sort of speed that I do around this track. In this test race, they're on 100/100.
I'll bump things up in future to see how quick they can go at higher skill levels.

 

Not sure how realistic 400kph plus is.......
