Its possible ADD a new livery, or just override them? Example.. F301 have 12 liveries and i want put more 4 liveries to a grid of 16..

 

I don't understand why Reiza don't ask for the AI files that the actual racing teams or manufacturer uses to print the stickers that go on the car in the first place... it would save a ton of time and make the car look even more real. Perhaps, it's the licensing rights and temporary placement of financially driven sponsorships.

 

to have the license for a car does not automatically give the license for a team and also not for the stickers, driver names and other things.
Skin makers are a bit in the gray zone when replicating unlicensed decals or other things.
Thank god, the license holders don't really hunt for us

I think this only will count if you make money with it. If not, than it is free advertisement for them.

 

Thank you, I deleted the Overrides folder, I restored the cache integrity from Steam and then I installed my selected skins adding the correct lines to the .xlm.

Though its free advertisement , its illegal and could become very expensive.

 

Even when not using commercial? I may take a picture of a race car and that is no problem, I may cut it out and play with it without any problems but when I paint it on a paper of pixels and play with it on a gci car it is illegal? Strange world.

 

there is a differece using it for your private use or distributing on the net.
Inside your home, do what you want.
But create a livery, paint, photo, music with copyrighted content and distribute it to many others is owner right infringement.
e.g. buy a newspaper, make 100 copies at your cost and gift it to 100 people.
or buy some mp3's and leech it to a torrent network for free.

Yeah perhaps you're right. I don't know. I still think it is not a crime but more free advertisement for whatever brandt you're using.
If you make money with it, it is a different story. Anyhow, I'm happy to see some great livery's. perhaps I need to dive in myself and make some as well. I don't know if Affinity Designer/photo supports PSD files and if it can produce DDS files.

 

you can use paint.net, Gimp, Photoshop Elements

 

Just found more info. Affinity does support DDS files and PSD files. Nice. I then can use my iPad Pro for making some livery
