    Can you record the footage from the replay and post what causes the SC to happen ? Would help Reiza to tweak situations in which it does come out too.

    I don't know if this was already posted, but the AI are clearly too much slow in the Buda, Pest and DundaDanube corners (corners 8, 9 and 10) in the Hungaroring. I only race with F1 from different ages and all of them had the same bug. Same as the sector 2 in Interlagos that was improved a bit a few updates ago

    If you've got the AI errors set to x2 surely you are increasing the likelihood of having safety cars?
    I find that anything above x0.5 mistakes the AI make an unrealistic number of errors, they are meant to be decent racing drivers after all.

    I love the A.I. and think it's one of the best out there, but I have noticed more since 1.6.9.91 that A.I. are are randomly coming up from behind and booting me from the track when there is a clear line for them to take around me. I thought this was because I run the A.I. aggression on max, but I recently just decided to to move it to low and notice it is still happening.

    Also on turn 5 on Laguna Seca if you take the inside line of the corner and don't have a clear lead on the A.I they they turn into me every time as if they don't see me.

    If "rules and penalties" is off, there are no blue flags shown in the HUD, but in terms of AI is there still blue flag behaviour? I did a bit of an experiment and I wasn't sure but I thought more like no there isn't.

    Back in the day (like 1960s-1980s), blue flags were not a rule, but they existed as a more informational kind of thing, but drivers would generally show respect to lapping cars anyway.

    I've noticed recently that the AI doesn't stand still after a crash or spin when there are other cars around them.

    In real life a driver should always stop and wait for other cars to pass them by before trying to turn around or rejoin the track as a safety measure, but the AI is all over the place and usually causes other accidents right after their own.

    Track: Cascais
    Vehicle: Caterham Academy
    Session Settings: See video link below:
    Code:
    https://youtu.be/9-TJLkLis3s?t=129
    Report:
    Multiple examples in this race, be it wet or dry, example in time stamped link below. The AI consistently slows dramatically and prematurely for faster cars under a blue flag.
    I thought that they had been adjusted to maintain their pace, but move offline when the overtaking car was in close proximity?
    How my direct AI competitors reacted to blue flags in this race example made it very difficult to keep the race competitive. The only solution is to run the AI artificially high/fast so that over the course of the race it was well balanced, taking into account their overly-slow periods under blue flags... However, this makes them too fast and leaves you at risk of incident because you're essentially too slow for the pace they can achieve under normal racing conditions.

    Track: Fontana Historic (2020)
    Vehicle: F USA GEN2 (Reynard 98i Toyota - known to be thirsty for fuel)
    Mods: 1998 skin pack and names only (pretty sure no AI behaviour modification)
    Session Settings (2 races):
    30 minute race vs AI (worked out to be 56 laps)
    AI = 100, medium aggression
    AI number = 24
    Clear skies; light cloud
    Time progression x 5 (culprit?)
    Pitstops set to optional (an obvious workaround fix is to require a compulsory stop in the settings, which I will do for next race)
    Configuration:
    Full fuel load (133L) for first stint (both races)
    Race 1 Default gearing (had to pit lap 42)
    Race 2 Shorter higher gears (had to pit lap 41)

    Report:
    • Biggest issue was in both races was AI running out of fuel. 9/24 AI cars in race 1 and 7/24 AI cars in race 2 ran out of fuel without pitting. They stopped on or beside the track (or even in pit lane).
    • Race leader ran out of fuel with 6 laps to go in both races.
    • I had to pit for fuel on [race 1] lap 42 and [race 2] lap 41 (2L remaining at pit entry).
    • AI cars that finished pitted on laps 45-47.
    • Top 2 finishing AI cars did not pit at all (went 56 laps) - both were Swift 009c Ford-Cosworths in both races.
    • Relevant fact - I started in last place (no qualy) and was a bit quicker than a lot of the field so rather than drafting I was overtaking and spent a lot of the race punching a hole in undisturbed air which would have had some effect on my fuel use. AI ran in packs as often occurs.
    • As always it was heaps of fun despite the apparent AI fuel management glitches.
    Some of this is likely to be expected behaviour but the running out of fuel by lead cars was, in the jargon, quite immersion breaking in two otherwise very fun races in this wonderful sim. I'm happy to see one or two fuel miscalculations by AI but not around a third of the field throwing in the towel in the last few laps.

    Guys at Reiza, seriously, do something about the AI; it’s impossible to compete on equal footing with it. This week I raced in Brasília in three different categories—GT3, LMDh, and Formula Hybrid 2 GEN—and I ended up retiring from all three races, frustrated and furious, because it’s impossible to break away and keep up with the AI; I just end up racing like an idiot behind everyone else. I’m not slow, and my line isn’t bad, and on top of that, the AI doesn’t seem to be affected by tire wear—the tires it uses are made of some kind of infinite compound. It’s only on a few circuits that it’s possible to be “competitive” with the AI. I like Automobilista and I’ve said so many times; it’s my favorite, but sometimes it just takes the fun out of it, and honestly, I’m not going to make my life complicated over a video game; if it bores me or doesn’t work as it should, I’ll just uninstall it—that’s it. I’m not one to make life difficult for myself. Anyway, thanks, and I hope you can improve that at some point.

    I hope that rant made you feel better as that is the only positive thing that can come from a post like this.

    You haven't provided any details of settings or comparisons to other tracks so Reiza can make absolutely no progress in making the game better.

    Lots of drivers rate the AI in AMS2 as one of the best to race against, and enjoy close racing with them. So I'm sad you don't find this but there you go, not a lot we can do to help, not knowing where you're coming from.

    Here is a way to fix some tracks where one version has the AIs that the other version of the track needs. What needs to just be done is, copy the AI-file from one track version into the other and all is fixed.

    Spielberg Historic 2001 -----------> Spielberg Modern
    Monza Historic 2005
    ------------> Monza Modern
    Spa Francorchamps 2022
    -----------> Spa Francorchamps 2020
    Road America Bend
    ------------> Road America
    It feels kinda sad that, I have play on a certain version of the track to enjoy racing the AIs when the other is in a worser state.

    i am not a developer. it is just a reminder of how Reiza could improve some tracks.

    i can't answer that. I dont work for Reiza

    No one can even comprehend what issue you have, let alone fix anything, if you do not include the AI Strength setting and Aggression setting you are/were using. And, did you try lowering the Strength setting to see if it makes any difference?

    I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to racing, I'm on for a quick time not a long time but I've been working on a strategy pit manager so I've been doing a lot of laps, same car same track. I find the AI great. I only run at 100% with aggression high I can get near the top if I am consistent but I'm a mid to high pack runner and I find the AI is brilliant, yes there are times when they do some stupid things but so do real drivers. I can't complain at all. Bring on save mid race and I will be able to do endurance then we'll see.

    Would it be possible that AI can defend their positions between Villeneuve and Tosa at Imola? That would be great.
