    What do you have AI mistakes set too? This used to be a thing for me but I've been running AI mistakes at 0.5 for a long time now and it's not been an issue and feels more realistic overall. At 1.0 I found the AI were far too prone to go off in general seeing as they are meant to be drivers who know what they are doing :)

    I have mistake set to 0.5 as well. Anything over 100 difficulty at Daytona Road Course, and the prototypes bin it on entry to the Bus Stop. Current theory is that it has something to do with the default values Reiza assigned for the new Line Skill attribute.

    I'll give that combo a go when I get chance and see what happens.

    With recent update the cars will smash into me knock me off the track sometimes and end my race. Before the update I really never had this problem and I've been playing this game for years. Anybody else notices?

    Hi,

    Can you please share a video of a issue you are having; it can be a capture from live play, a replay or even recorded from your phone so long as it showcases the issue. As well the summary screen. See the example below.

    Thank you

    • Car / Track used: GT1/GT4 multi-class
    • AI Strength setting: 94
    • Corner (if issue is corner specific): Daytona Road, oval banking
    • AI Aggression setting: Medium
    • Session Distance: Practice 40mins
    • Weather when the issue was observed: Clear
    • Type of session when the issue was observed (practice / quali / race): Practice
    Issue: I don't think the AI uses the oval banking correctly, either on it's own or in multiclass overtaking.
    Cars often take the middle of the banking, which isn't the quickest line, and in my session the GT1 cars were often following the GT4 on the banking then getting stuck behind them.

    Hope this short steam clip shows what I mean, please let me know if the link doesn't work

    Yes, I encountered that today in multiple instances too. The AI sometimes just goes for insane divebombs out of nowhere now that I never encounter in such way before this update.

    Here's a clip, 110% Multiclass AI with Aggression on High on Indy. I'm in the Paul Miller M4 GT3. The Hypercar goes for an insane move where he would never had the chance to get the corner this way so he just smashes into me. Right after being back on track the Dragonspeed Corvette just ignored me being in front completely too and pushed me off again.
    (Ignore the overlays overlapping with the replay UI)

    Besides this I had multiple times where even being side by side can lead to the AI just going back to the ideal line instead of respecting your space, so they bascially cut you off and push you off track. Will try to capture those moments next time they happen

    Exactly what I'm experiencing. I don't have a video yet but I usually occurs going into a corner and being hit in the back or the side. I just had a race at Road America and as I look at the replay is questionable as to who was at fault. AI got right about halfway on my side going into Canada I drifted over and we collided and I crashed. I would download the video but I'm not sure how to do it.

    Only one example at Rd America, usually happens about every other race 15 minutes long. The AI cars seems very aggressive going into and thru corners.

    I’m having the same issue (it’s exactly like in the video “Ace” posted). The class doesn’t seem to matter.

    Since the latest update, the AI keeps driving into my side whenever we enter a corner. It’s like a little divebomb. I did around 10 short races today and got pushed off the track 8 times.

    The AI drives into my side, then stays stuck to me like a magnet, and either we spin around or just go straight off the track. I didn’t have any of these problems before the update.

    I tried lowering the aggression from High to Medium, but it didn’t make any difference.

    It’s really not fun to play like this at the moment. Close racing is currently not possible.

    Hi all,
    Just been testing the new scaler which is a great idea. I have always found that the AI brake to much before the coners and are slow through corners so I thought I would try thescaler to change this. I set it to the lowest 0.50 and they are still the same. Any tips please, am I doing something wrong? I also increased the exit spead to 1.25 which seems to have worked. Am I undestanding the scaler corectly?
    On a wider note when do we think that AI will be able to learn your skill level and adjust acordingly?
    Regards

    It’s probably worth including your other AI settings and also the car track combo.

    I am having the exactly the same issue. The scaler seems to have little impact and the car is breaking very early and slowly but their exit speed is greater than mine. Even when I made adjustments to the acceleration scalar. What I did was went back to the previous build and version. And the AI brake beautifully into corners without any issue. Also I ran a couple of events and I never got run into one time. It must be some other physics model that has changed like maybe the tires or the grip or the aerodynamics that are affecting the AI cars. Until it's fixed you might want to go back to the previous version that works extremely well.

    I’ve seen two bugs or strange behaviours with AI lines on first/second laps, where they are all together. Both with various F1 2000s classes.

    First one: Barcelona turn 5, they do a strange move to the inside on that corner.

    Second one: Spa turn left hander before Pouhon (some maps say turn 9, some 11; but its exactly the corner before Pouhon). Same movement to the inside as in Barcelona.

    1. I also experienced some of the issues about dive bombing that some people said, but with some tweaks and myself being more aware, I think I’m good now. I also went from x2 mistakes AI to x1 and traction scalar x0.96. But with previous settings and first day after update, I was taken off track in like 4 of my 5 races.

    But overall the AI improved a lot imo

    If you want the AI to brake later you should increase the scalar and not decrease it

    Unfortunately yes. When I’m clearly ahead at a corner, a car will bump me from behind. Dive bombing is now a thing. I changed the aggression level to Low, but it still occurs.
    This never used to happen before the update.
    I’m really disappointed.
    I’ve also noticed the AI cars crash into each other a lot more. It’s slightly amusing to see upside down cars in front of you, and pile ups, but it’s not realistic. They didn’t used to do this much at all.

    It would be interesting to create a topic about the scalar settings to share what seems to be the sweet spot for everyone.

    I need to do some more testing and go back to default settings with the scalar and do some back to back runs.

    I usually run between 104 and 108 depending on the car/track combo, medium aggression, 0.5 mistakes.

    I wanted to make the AI less likely to just easily pull away on corner exit but better on the brakes. I went for 0.95 traction and 1.20 on the brakes. The traction side seems to be working as expected but the brakes so far it seems that they might just be braking later rather than "better". I'm not sure how the scaling works I went straight to 1.20 as before the scalars I tended to be quite a bit better on the brakes so I'll dial that back a bit and see if it helps.

    I found this method works great.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <custom_ai_drivers>

    <driver livery_name="Mercedes-Benz CLK LM #36">
    <weight_scalar>1.00</weight_scalar>
    <power_scalar>1.07</power_scalar>
    <drag_scalar>0.93</drag_scalar>
    </driver>

    </custom_ai_drivers>

    Parameters 0..9 - 1.1.
    Place in XML folder

    Regarding the new scalars I’ve found that the following settings seem to be my sweet spot:

    AI Skill: 105-107
    Aggression: medium
    AI brake scalar: 1.20-1.23
    AI throttle scalar: 0.90-0.95

    This results in the AI braking later and accelerating a bit slower out of corners.

    Why not give the driver who is on the left some space when there is clear overlap ? Unnecessary risk, that ain't F1 2025 racing rules.
