    1. Is it a chance to see ice and falling snow in AMS2?
    2. I think practice and quali sessions don't use a real wheather but only historical. For example interval between sessions is 1 hour and temperature about 8C. Practice is in a rain, quali often too but when a race starts track is completely dry and temperature is sometimes much higher and close to actual.

I think so because time is relative to other countries (local time is used). How it looks like in reality only Reiza devs know;) You can check daylight savings zones and add or remove 1 hour or so.

    I hope it helps:)

Hi all, Real time weather does not work on any track for me. It comes up with an error saying that it couldn't find real historic weather data for the selected time and date. Every single track. Is this a known issue? Thanks :)

Resolved this issue for me. Switched to a NIST time server and real weather began to work again.

Thanks, I appreciate the help, but I know for a fact this wasn't an issue when the game first came out, it used to work fine, it would be easier if I didn't need to do this because changing timezone causes other issues.

I'll just say, the fact that this thread is rarely used nowadays, means that Real Weather has been working wonderfully for years now.

And it has. I always use it. Always reliable. Always gives me great unpredictable, realistic weather. Love it.

Dunno if its a bug or just an issue with Real Weather, but it seems that 1. Track temperature doesn't change accordingly with the weather and 2. It doesn't affect tire temperatures?

Regarding 1, I know track temps aren't dynamic and are predetermined according to the track/date/time, but its doesn't seem to evolve much thorough a race. I did a 70 minute race at Kyalami with the F-Vintage G1 and it started with heavy cloud and after 10 minutes it began to rain and the temperatures actually raised by the end of the race, doesn't make much sense.

Ambient Temp at the start : 74°F
Track Temp at the start: 88°F

After 20 minutes of rain (the track took a long time to get wet, another issue IMHO)

10 minutes later and soaked track conditions
    Automobilista 2 12_15_2024 10_42_40 PM-min(1).png
    No change

Now my tires did drop from high 60's to high 30's, which is correct due to the conditions, but dont make much sense with the track temperature at 88°F, ended up crashing.
    Automobilista 2 12_15_2024 10_51_16 PM-min.png

And finally both temps higher towards the end of the race with a much more soaked track

I really like the potential of Real Weather, but it still has a lot of issues for it to be truly immersive, you need to use it with 2x or more time acceleration to have more variance, which is not real, so it goes against the "Real Weather" name.

Can I just ask what time and weather rates you were using?
I would expect the air temperature to change significantly quicker than the track temperature as the track has a much larger mass l, also the cars and sun would also add to the track temperature.
Real wather is supposed to be slow changes as this is what happens in real life. If you had a race that started on a dry track, got soaking wet and then dry again in just over an hour in real life that would be quite an exordinarly severe shower.

I use real time progression and the tarmac temperature can drop significantly very quickly with rainfall, I live in the Caribbean and it can go from very hot tarmac to very cool with 10-15 minutes of constant rainfall, in my example it was 50 minutes of rainfall with a very, very visible soaked track by the end. The tire temps showed the conditions correctly, it was the air and track temps that are completely wrong.
