Gt cars are faster right now. I was braking a lot of records before trails stopped. Catarham classes and P2 P3 P4 too. You can add more power to rear end setting.

 

You can use it as a rule of thumb.
If you former PB was driven like good old granny then it will be possible to drive faster.
If your PB was and is on the edge of what you are able to then after the 1.5 thing you will not have a chance to get near your former laptimes.
At least in the formula cars.

 

I only count fast drivers when I judge results to honestly learn.
I stopped driving formula1 after March or april update,
But in the last month i beat drivers in 10 to 15 classes that I could not bet before last update.
Most of that was from being able to add more load in the rear end.
When things do get going it will be crazy.

Confirmed. Both V10 Gens and the CART cars are a couple seconds slower, at least on the tracks I've ran. Biggest difference I've experienced so far is Adelaide, you just cannot take the fast chicane anywhere close to the speed before the update.

I'm no engineer and don't really like minutely dialing in setups from scratch so I'm super interested to see if those that are, are able to claw the times back. There DOES seem to be more grip from the tires but who knows, perception fades.

Any idea when TT record-keeping will resume and why that didn't just startup when the old records were wiped?

And they didn't resume presumably because they would have just been deleted again.

 

OMG. Can someone at Reiza confirm this?

Why on earth was the 1.5 update released mid summer!? Drawing this out over ~4 months is going to kill the user base.

Why work on setups if they're just going to be erased? 4 months is an eternity to give drivers to just find something else to play.

I've bought AMS2 and a ton of DLC, I'd like to actually play it and progress rather than continually starting over. I want to enjoy this sim, why are you guys making that harder to do?

 

I agree with you. And to leave you in the dark, not good for customer base.
And I think they should have left time trials in till they where ready for next up date. At least you could still test yourself. which is the best part of the game, to test yourself against other racers.

 

My guess is that the reason the TT LBs got deleted way too early was partly because some of the lower ranking people on the lists more or less demanded in the forum that the lists got "cleaned up".
And partly in the hope that if long enough time went then nobody could remember how fast they were able lap before 1.5

Again I agree. but why did they not just reset it. Because now you stopped all players from a big part of what they like.to do.
They should have info and not leave customers in the dark.

Hehe if you are ready to drive the F-Reiza?
Then run on any track in TT mode and take a screen dump of your fastest laptime.
And post it here.
Then I will try to beat it.

jacarepagud, in the P2 class. this class is faster now, would be good practice. I forgot which car, but that,s easy.

They've posted about it multiple times. It was in the release notes for 1.5 and has been repeated multiple times since then, including the latest post saying the update will be late October.

Just a thought, it might help some of the regular posts about the TT being unavailable if an admin places a sticky post explaining the full situation at the top of the boards.

Casual visitors would find it much easier, and it might also help to set expectation.

first, went to spa track with f- reiza. It's the first time on that track, it would take to long to setup for now.
You told me to pick a track, I did but it takes a few minutes to take a few laps.
I picked the track in jacarepagud because you had a record in this class I think and that would be fair.

Here's a time to bet.
