Official Time Trial Report Topic

    Is tire wear deactivated in time trials? I am currently driving the BMW GTP but the tire condition always stays at 100% when I have massive braking. Temperatures are rising but consumption does not seem to be. Couldn't this be activated for TT?

    Hi. A question of curiosity. Me and my brother started competing against each other in time trial. We are not the best but not bad drivers, on a few tracks got to be in leading positions1-5 in the leader board. We drive Porsche cup 4.0. But in Interlagos it is a hell of a difference and we are sweating blood already to get closer to the first positions it just seems unreal at this point. I found the leader's hotlap on youtube and is 3 years old. I am not insinuating cheating or something, but I am curious, in the last years automobilista had a lot of updates of all kinds to finetune cars/physics/aerodinamics and whatnot. Those old hotlaps are still relevant or is a bust? Shouldn't the leader board be resetted after major changes to car behaviors ?

    I know that. But still it was 3 years ago. At least two major changes/updates to physics/car behavior since that time...

    Doesn’t mean the lap time is on still the leaderboard

    Leaderboards was reset when 1.6 released…

    I do not see any current or future TT of the week in my game.
    Is this a bug on my side or is it supposed to be like that?

    In time trial, cars start the lap with cold (20C) brakes, so at least the first couple corners are compromised, and you cannot do a perfect first lap.

    Also some cars start with relatively cold tires (GT4s for example, at 50C which need in some tracks 2 or more laps to warm up), which makes it necessary to do a couple laps only for warming up, until you can start doing a good time.

    I think in time trial it does not make sense to start up cold (as it of course makes sense in practice, quali etc), as you're anyway starting very close to the start line and have no chance to do anything about it.

    But, everyone else is in the same boat. And people are still setting ridiculous times (most of the time faster than IRL qualifying records). I don't think it's worth worrying about.

    Well, if anybody does not like the time trial concept, they can simply not use it :)

    For those of us who enjoy it a lot, it's just needless frustration just having to do laps only to bring the brakes up to temperature. Or tires. Yes, everybody is on the same frustrating boat regarding this :)
