I'm also quicker with most of the cars, What's new (for me) is there seems to be grip-buildup in TT, I was usually fastest on the first lap, now usually on the third, I'll be around a second faster from my first-lap time.

I think that is a syncing issue somewhere between the host, steam and the game client.

    Would also happen in pC2.

Also this is the Time Trial topic

In Cascais, the default date used is 26/3. In time trial mode, this leads to an ambient temp of 13C and track temp 15C, so it is very cold and there is not much grip on the track. I think especially in time trial the conditions should be much better, so maybe the default date should be moved a couple months forward?

The circumstances should be the same for everyone in time trial, And they are, Just a little cold.

Hey @Shriukan could you elaborate this a bit?
I mean its hard to understand (pour moi  ) how a host to client sync issue can produce Sax´es grip build up.

ByTheWay: Its not because I dont believe you :p

My reply was in regards to Coanda's screens and me telling him he was in the wrong thread for this.

In other words: It's got nothing to do with SaxOhare's post.

Please Reiza, rework the starting position in TT at Hockenheim 88 (and some other tracks).
AI drives in first gear on start/finish straight, goes over the high curb on the outside in direction to the grass for no reason and there gives control to player, who has to avoid a spin before starting.
    ;)

OK thanks - the misunderstanding was probably because of my ignore settings.

@SaxOhare Im not trying to disagree with your grip buildup thing just to disagree - but I have just press tested/squeezed my personal limit on Suzuka in the F-Reiza intensively.
And eventhough Im often just as fast on lap 2 or 3 I mostly set my fastest lap on lap 1.
So I honestly dont believe in your buildup hypothesis - sorry ;)

ByTheWay: Conserning a reset of the TT LBs then I think its a waste of time - because at least in the mentioned F-Reiza everybody (included moi :D ) is able to up their laptimes after the latest update. :p

    The same with Hockenheim 77.
First flying lap is in vain.

    Fully agree with that.
I have more or less given up on this track because of frustration over this idiotic bug.
A general (and probably easy) solution for these kinds of ø*#$ has been mentioned somewhere else: Just make the start of TT fully manual with full usercontrol - instead of this auto throttle and wheel BS.

ByTheWay: Yes I know there is probably some slightly more urgent things to be frustrated over in world today - but not-the-less:mad:

My workaround is to have the first lap as a warmup/rollout lap, but it would be nice if the start was further back on the track(s) in order to have maximum speed at the first straight.

Yeah I agree with this general starting position prob too - but exactly on the newer Hockenheim the bug is so irritating that - yeah I only start a TT lap if Im in soooo calm a mood that Dalai Lama would be proud of me.:p
    Very proud

For warming up, why not a starting position at the start of 3rd sector? Then there is enough time for warming up and you get up to speed. This starting pos could be used in general for every track, maybe at Nord the position should be a bit later, at Tiergarten for example.
