Yeh I used the crop 2 view as well. Getting black screen at race start with no toolkit or any mods enabled though. It's so frustrating and seemingly random. Would really like to fix it

Been trying to fix this all day if anyone has any ideas or input would be most appreciated thanks guys

Only works with pimax open XR . Pimax XR will generate an error now on launch (it's old software) the pimax open XR is implemented directly into the pimax play software now so no need for pimax XR standalone software

 

forgot to mention it used to work fine without a hitch , but not now but i cannot remember when it first happened its been doing it that long

 

It's so annoying right?! Sometimes it will work fine like 10% of the time... It's a battle of restarting constantly and sometimes it doesn't ever work!

 

just trying something now center rendering set too on in image quality , has worked once see how it goes

Haha savage. Center rendering in pimax play? I didn't think that was compatible with ams2?

It's so wired cos elite dangerous worked first time every time with open composite/ pimax open xr

So it worked when you enabled it? Or ?

Have you managed to find out what is making it work? Because I change nothing and it just works when it wants to

forgot to mention center rendering does work , but i see strange lines on both sides of the view, but the original problem still exists

 

Cropping doesn't seem to work properly for me. When I set the top and bottom crop values to 65%, the image looks distorted—almost like I'm viewing it through a fisheye lens. I must be doing something wrong...any ideas? Help!

 

What program you using to crop? Also you using open composite?

 

Which program? Are there multiple ways to use OpenXR? I'm using the OpenXR in-game menu to crop the image. I'm also using a modified DLL from OhneSpeedMod (v1.3.8).

 

in ohnespeed in system settings i select crop 2 fov 55 vertical 75 horizantal , and i don't touch the foveated rendering settings and all looks good to me ,if you change the settings on the fly in game you must restart the game otherwise everything will be warped
And what headset have you got

 

I reset the OpenXR settings using the in-game menu and then only changed the crop2fov setting. After each change, I restart AMS2, but the image still looks stretched and distorted every time. Could this be related to my Pico 4?

 

maybe but i cannot say i haven't got your headset
But it took a while getting used to the lenses on the pimax after coming from the quest 3 , i remember thinking it was a little stretched
