    I just want to say, the simulation feels better than ever before all over the board for the cars I've tested so far (not talking exclusively about 1.6.5 but the general state of the game). Yesterday I tried the Lamborghini supertrofeo after some user recommended it and wow I love it! Powerful car but you have to be pretty gentle with the brakes, easy to lose it if you try to find its limit.

    Agreed! With the right ffb file and even on default setups the cars I drove feel very fun and “realistic” to drive.

    Hi everyone,
    i really enjoy the game. I have one thing with the physic I can’t get it. I I play gt3 gen2 (abs 4 tc 5, engine 8, diff 4 and bb 55/45) but its mostly similar with all cars.
    When I brake and turn in corner entry, the car have the tendency to lose the rear and oversterr. I tried the corvette gt3 in others sims and don’t have the same issue.

    Is it something from the madness engine that i need to get use of ? I am open with new setup

    I had a chance to test LMU and AMS2 back and forth at Imola with the McLaren GT3 Gen2. I used the same Fanatec DD2 settings for both games. I used Default+.

    They're quite similar to each other. The FFB and physics are almost the same. The main difference I noticed is that when you're in mid-corner and if you throttle a bit much, the steering wheel tends to lose some feel and becomes weaker in AMS2, but not in LMU. This could be interpreted as a loss of grip, but the car actually has the same grip(?). I don't know why it's happening, but it's the only difference I feel.

    I also tested legacy head movement vs non-legacy and it has a huge impact on how the "slideness" is perceived. Non-legacy is much better for feeling the car's grip, but it makes a bit of motion sickness in VR. I'm trying to get used to it.

    Out of curiosity, what diff clutches number do you have on your setup when doing this? If you have left them at 6, what happens if you conduct the same experiment with 2?

    I ask only because my interpretation fo the wheel 'losing feel' might be something like the rear rotating around and changing the angle of the wheels relative to the car (and therefore changing the angle/behaviour of the steering wheel also). This will be different at least with only 2 clutches. I am not saying it's a problem that needs to be fixed, rather a facet of the high quality FFB that AMS2 has. AMS2 is also one of the more flexible sims regarding the setup of the differential, and it has a large effect on behaviour of the car on throttle out of corners (as one would expect!). I do not have LMU to be able to check if you can change the diff on the cars there in the same way, but I am curious about this comparison.

    I think that this can be helped with: reduction of rake (make the front and rear ride heights closer); more careful trail braking; and 'increasing' brake bias (moving it closer to the front, so from e.g. 55/45 to say 58/42).
    (do them step by step to see how they help, as written this will probably be quite extreme)

    Could it be also a problem with my pedal. I have a srp load cell pedal?

    I don't know anything about that pedal - I use the cheapest loadcell pedal from Fanatec and I am perfectly happy with it - so hopefully i'm not implicitly having issues with that.

    default setup is quite neutral and should be pretty stable .
    It really just sounds like you are braking too late and carry too much speed while turning in. you should be braking quite hard initially while still in a straight line , before turning in and trail braking into the corner . So you don’t come off the brake too quickly and change the balance of load suddenly.

    I tested your suggestion. I felt the car's cornering behaviour changed and there might be a subtle change but it might be a placebo as well.

    That drop-off is from understeer as front tires reach a critical slidingpoint. Try using less FX or using the Default profile.

    I find the drop off way too exaggerated and very off putting, using less FX helps but unfortunately you lose out on other nice effects. Default is a lot more natural feeling, but again you miss out on some nice effects that Default + has.

    Ams2 FFB is very informative but the 'mix' of effects feels off, imo.

    Until some recent updates AMS2 has been notorious for spinning out when trail braking. That has been my biggest frustration with it compared to every other Sim I have used. I believe that issue has been addressed with the latest update though and I tested it out last night and could actually trail brake without spinning out so was very pleased with that.
