What are the port figures. I have Googled it and there are so many bogus answers and none of them port numbers works, the server still does not show up in lobby.

Hey buddy, I can help here as we have 9 AMS & 3 SCE servers up.

These are the default ports that need to be open for AMS. (They are all noted in the multiplayer.ini)
    Query Port Start="34597"
    Port Start="34697"
    Authenticator Port="8766"
    Master Server Updater Port="27016"

To make life easy for more servers I opened the following ports in my server firewall (and router) to allow for 10 servers:
    34590-34599,34690-34699,8760-8769,27010-27019
I opened these in the firewall 4 times over: IN-TCP, OUT-TCP, IN-UDP, OUT-UDP. Then update your router as well.

    Cheers! ;)

Hi, I've set the port forwarding as follows and I can't make it work.
    Query Port Start="34596" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Port Start="34597" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Authenticator Port="34598" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Master Server Updater Port="34599" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Matchmaker TCP Port="35600" // TCP
    Matchmaker UDP Port="35601" // UDP

    what's wrong? thanks

That is an interesting numbering method.

The Matchmaker ports should not be changed:
    Matchmaker TCP Port="40001"
    Matchmaker UDP Port="40002"

And you have all these ports open in your router and firewall as well?

OK well maybe try just opening up the firewall completely (to test) and check to be sure your ports are good in the router. I have 10 AMS servers setup so it definitely works and there are no RF1 bugs that I know of. ;)

Maybe I'm not opening the dedicate server correctly. The multiplayer.ini file is located on my documents/automobilista/userdata/dedicated or athletic like that.
I don't have any other multiplayer. Ini file

i've 4 assetto corsa servers running on that server with no problem, I have made the port forwarding rules as I did with the other servers, for ams and still I get that the ports are closed on that website you linked.
I don't know what else to do, I also opened those two ports (TCP 34747 and UDP 49632)

Well we all know the AMS dedicated server works and you know your server works with your AC servers setup. If I were you I would start over with the ports and use the defaults. Perhaps getting so far away from the default values is causing an issue with something. Go back to these:

    Query Port Start="34597" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Port Start="34697" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Authenticator Port="8766" // range is 1025 - 65535
    Master Server Updater Port="27016" // range is 1025 - 65535

Open these TCP/UDP ports in your router & firewall:
    34747 TCP
    34597 UDP
    34697 UDP
    8766 UDP
    27016 UDP

I noticed (in the AMS manual) the 34747 port needs opened which we have not discussed before. Maybe you missed that one in your router/firewall?

Additionally here is more info from a quick Google search which suggests a couple more ports that need forwarded.

34747 - TCP (Thanks to Patrick and CurrPorts we know this port is important, too)
49632 - UDP (Thanks to Patrick and CurrPorts we know this port is important, too)
    34697 - UDP (taken from multiplayer.ini)
    34597 - UDP (taken from multiplayer.ini)
    8766 - UDP (taken from multiplayer.ini)
    27016 - UDP (taken from multiplayer.ini)
40001 - TCP (not sure if really needed, but doesn't hurt to forward them as well)
40002 - UDP (not sure if really needed, but doesn't hurt to forward them as well)

Hi, I switched to the defaults and I can't seem to reach them from outside, using the port checker websites.

I just fixed this thing, apparently it was an issue with my Operating System, I fresh installed everything and with the defaults ports on the .ini file and all the port forwarding I've made before it's working like a charm.
thanks to all who helped in a way.

Hi, sorry to reopen an old post, but, I still try and something is still wierd. When I launch my server, people can see it, but when they try to join, AMS says "join session time out".

I think that I miss a port, but, I have checked the multiplayer.ini and follow all the instruction here, and that doesn't work.

I don't use dedicated server (because I don't have a 2nd PC with Windows for launch it), have you some suggestion ?

Yes all my port are forwarded correctly, and I can use without difficulty my assetto corsa server. I'm pretty sure that I miss something, but I don't find, what.

Hello guys , I was wondering my router does have a list of games in PF but it don't have Automobilista , my router requires 2 sets of numbers listed like for instance Assetto Corsa shows as. TCP 8081,8081
    UDP 9600.9600
Do I just put ABilista as shown
    TCP 34747,34747
    UDP 8766,34697
Also on the problem above , I mite have to have a virtual server up and have your DMZ open wuth your last numbers in your ip on server pc.

    And Virtual Server should be
    Name FTP = Application name
    Public port 21
    Protocol TCP
    And your PC IP

make sure all the inbound ports as suggested in Dann's post above are forwarded at the router, withthe correct protocols (40001,40002 should not be needed). Additionally as you didn't mention it in your post I'll note it in case, the default firewall rule added for AMS in windows is for outbound connections only, you will need to adjust this to allow inbound connections also.
    Port Forwarding?

You can use the dedicated server package installed via steam command even on the same machine as the game client. Just be sure to use a different profile than the in you use in the game either by making a copy and renaming it in the Automobilista directory in my documents or using the in-game interface to create one.
(details here Dedicated Server Tool / SteamCMD)

Usually if your rows inthe router firmware have 2 ports per line they are either source and destination ports, or start and end range, in either case use the same value in both boxes for each line entry.

I would never advise to put your machine in the DMZ, it's absolutely not needed and should only be done if you know exactly what you are doing and the potential ramifications.

Not sure what relevance this has? We don't implement and ftp services.

I seem to be stuck on something regarding servers that I cannot figure out so I'll stay in this thread and ask since we seem to have the smarter than me guys in here.

I can see my servers in the Steam server list, I can direct connect, and I even see the LiveRacers widgets. I cannot see the servers in the multiplayer of the game, nor can my league drivers. Any idea what I am missing? I double checked the ports, the game is updated. I cant believe I cannot figure this out. My servers are the OnlineSimRacing.net batch. Can anyone help me troubleshoot? I did switch from one physical server machine to another but I have used either of them before and never had this issue with either before.
