Nan. It would be at least 3 week minimum. And the beta build is not even release for the paddock club. It would be black friday/ december

Don't think it's that far away, devs have been quiet for a reason
But it will happen when it happens I guess...

Thought you were kidding, but I actually tried it (Santa Cruz do Sul, anyone? :D)... It's possible for all but the tightest and slowest turns, at least if you have the skill. Me? I run out of that pretty quickly doing that sort of thing.

The point is that it could be 'simulated', since that is what you are already doing. The AI isn't real intelligent people driving cars, it's just numbers with some arbitrary randomness and attributes built in. Obviously there has to be a way to simulate it without the player having to view it in realtime. But for some reason it's something that is hard to do with the Madness engine.

This should not be necessary if the AI have the ability to overtake. If they can't overtake then the AI is still not going to be great to race or even suffer in multi class. I certainly hope that having to get the AI in order of fastest to slowest is only a thing for 1.5 and is not still an issue in 1.6.

My first combo will be the Classic 70s Corvette/Porsche series, than an old DTM and then up from there.

Any comments on the SP Campaigns/Championships/Carrera side of things?

Honestly, I'm really tired. We've been waiting for this update since March, and now we're in November without any specific indication. This continuous silence does not generate mystery or positive expectations, but only frustration and nervousness among users. Even if the update will probably be awesome, why not just announce it a few months in advance? Two months would be enough to stimulate curiosity and interest, without leaving users in such a long and unnerving wait.

Since this spring I started playing RaceRoom, and updates there are constantly coming. The tracks are updated regularly and always reflect reality. The graphics may not be as shiny as in Automobilista 2, but they are more photorealistic and free of those color casts that give a cartoon effect. Also, the sounds, force feedback and physics, in my opinion, are superior. Assetto Corsa Evo will be released in a couple of months, and by now my excitement is all focused on that.

For now, goodbye Reiza. Your communication management was wrong, and in a competitive market like simracing, with many titles coming out, this mistake will be felt.

You'd think the release of 1.6 was a life or death matter to some of these folks. I guess 1.5 stopped working for them. It really has become quite comical.

This may sound snarky, but I'm being genuine here! Have fun with Raceroom! I feel that sim tends to be unfairly discounted by the simracing community and has a lot of very unique cars and tracks and it's great that more and more people are being won over by it. Though of course I hope you're still willing to give 1.6 a chance when it (eventually) comes out, whether it be 2024 or 2163!

It's pretty easy for us to say since we actually have acess to it, but I do understand the frustration! Of course I think it's better to channel that frustration on the track rather than making a a fourm post about it! Though if I said I always successfully hold myself to that standard then I'd be lying ;)

Guys, I didn’t mean to stir up pointless controversy—I was just expressing how I feel. Version 1.5 of Automobilista 2 runs well, and I’ve already clocked up 170 hours of driving, but lately, I find myself preferring RaceRoom. Over the summer alone, I’ve logged more than 400 hours between multiplayer and challenges. I find it more engaging, thanks to the rating system, world rankings, rewards, and invitations, which make every session feel more exciting.

I was looking forward to version 1.6 to get back into AMS2 and enjoy its beautiful graphics, but the long wait has become exhausting, and I’ve honestly lost all the excitement I had for its release. Just to clarify, my criticism is not aimed at the game itself—it’s fantastic, with unique and truly beautiful content—but at the poor handling of communication around it.

Think about it: would you keep waiting for the person of your dreams who never seems to notice you, or at some point would you give up and start looking for attention elsewhere?

Yes, I have access to it, but I don't have the beta installed. I bought it for future content and to support Reiza, not to be a beta tester.

Raceroom is the kind of sim where you can borrow the car from the manufacturer, but the manufacturer keeps the keys. In short, no internet, no raceroom and blackouts on the internet are becoming more common nowadays

Hi guys can anyone who has access to beta tell me if AI in wet are more raceable. Because in the current version I find the AI in wet have too much traction compared to the player and they drive like on rails meanwhile I have to battle the car to survive. Also I find that in the current version changeable conditions are even more impossible the AI always has so much more grip than the player when going from dry to wet and they have to pit way later than the player. Is this fixed beta testers? o_O

That's great! I do love R3E too and play it often. We simracers have the choice luckily.

As these threads are growing faster than I can read them, I usually only flip through it, searching for a new post from Renato. So forgive me if it has been discussed already.

I wonder what we can expect in terms of bugfixing, never read anything about it. Currently there are so many annoying bugs, some of them ported from PC2 (like the game doesn´t remember my settings from last race or what car and livery I used) , some introduced by Reiza (like the steamy rear view mirrors). I can´t name them all, they come to mind when I come across them, but compared to e.g. ACC there are plenty of these little annoyances. Any news?

Not quite; these days, almost all games need an internet connection to start, and that’s likely the trend for the future. Plus, I play exclusively in multiplayer with other real players, so I’d need internet regardless, even with AMS2. I bought the Premium Pack for about 70 euros, so I own all the cars and tracks and can play whenever I want. Only iRacing requires a subscription to play, and maybe Rennsport will as well, but trust me, in RaceRoom, the cars are yours.

You can even drive cars you don’t own and try out tracks with no time limits, completely free. The only major thing missing is rain and a day-night cycle, which was the main reason I was looking forward to AMS2 version 1.6, although I don’t use those features much anyway.

You launch the game, go to the store page, find the car or track you're interested in, and you have two options: buy or try. If you click "try," you can test it out for as long as you want.
