Road atlanta. The track for the next dlc

 

It would be nice to get some footage or something considering we are about to enter November.
The YouTube guy just re-ignited my hype, let's keep the ball rolling.

 

Or at least few words to know the state of devloppement and what to expect for next month

People tend to become impatient after 5 months

 

8 month and with all the false promise and hype, its totally normal or you play the 1.6 already

 

Enough to break the rules huh? Damn, such good reasoning

 

What people who praise someone for basically breaching the terms of being part of the Beta program - particularly the beta version explicitly named NOTFORMEDIA - fail to understand is that there might be serious ramifications due to leaked content that is not meant to be shown yet. None of us except Reiza and the individual manufacturers know if there are any clauses in the licensing contracts regarding this kind of stuff... Worst case scenario? We might lose further licensing possibilities with said manufacturers, or perhaps even content that had already been licensed and put into the game.

So maybe we should think twice before we let our impatience get the better of us (and believe me, I understand the impatience, hype and expectations after all this time very well).

Just my two cents for what it's worth.

 

Road atlanta is an absolute roller coaster, fantastic track. The petite le mans multiclass is a nail biter, wo many places you just can't pass safely which bunches up the faster classes.

Oh really? How silly of me to missunderstand considering what you previously said:

I vote, just a suggestion, that we don't keep the ball rolling by posting videos of the, rightfully named, NOTFORMEDIA beta branch. But hey, if I missundestood and you were talking about being impatient for something else I apologize...

 

This comment makes the wait even more worthwhile.
I'm ready when its ready because I need a break from all the things that have fallen into my lap lately.

And once again the "hype train" barrels out of control. I don't blame Rodger for starting this thread as he's always done a good job of collating the rumours around what's to come in AMS2 and I've always enjoyed reading his posts. But it's turning into another thread full of negativity, and that feels like it's coming to a head with this video and the comments following it.

I think there's probably two good solutions to this, although I'm not a moderator or a staff member, and these are only my opinions.

1: Close this thread and let things move back to the General forum. The job that all of the mods/staff have policing everything in a million different threads regarding 1.6 and all the comments (positive, negative or otherwise) is already hard enough.
2: Replace this hype train thread with a shorter pinned and locked post from a Reiza staff member with the content bullet points. Rodger's original idea is great - and having a short and easy to read digest of what's yet to come (even if we don't get the "rumoured" or "sighted" content) is a good way to build the anticipation. The problem with the current open thread is we're going down the route where people start digging at other people, which is more time spend moderating us, and less working on the actual game.
