    hi all
Personally, I don't care anymore that 1.6 isn't out yet and yes, Reiza doesn't owe us anything!
And above all, I don't want to pressure anyone, it's better to wait than for a quick release with 1.6 to be worse than the current version.
But I also understand the people who complain and become impatient.
especially when you see the videos of some people driving on Road Atlanta and raving about it
how great that is, but nothing ends up in the download!
Nobody asked Reiza to bring an update at the end of the summer!!!!
and then just more or less end the communication here?????????????
    feels like coitus interruptus.
What annoys me personally is that Reiza has taken away my desire to drive with this mess!
Knowing that with 1.6 all setups that I have been using for my favorites (openwheeler) for months will also be deleted.
It's like building a house knowing that at some point (days, weeks, months, who knows?) someone will come with a bagger.
if 1.6 is so different from the current version that I can no longer use a setup with the few adjustments,
then either the current one or the upcoming one (1.6) must be crap?!?!
I would also like to drive Road Atlanta with the current version and pay for it!!!
@reiza, give us the new cars and tracks, take your time for a driving physics patch and start with ams3 in peace.
Personally, I only really like the open wheelers on the Ams2 (maybe that will change with 1.6), I absolutely can't handle the ride with the adrenaline pack
I understand it and with GT3 and the others I also find the driving physics in GTR2 to be better, Raceroom is already too arcade-heavy, AC is too spongy.
    I don't know about iracing, I don't want a subscription.
Once you have tunnel vision, the outdated graphics don't bother you. Thanks to the mods I have almost all the routes and cars
exists at all and my setups are not deleted either.
Not to mention the community at ams2, ramming, cutting, at least on open servers without a password.
That looks different in the gtr2 community!!! If you want to have fair races, you should check out the guys from koelschbierbude.de, take a look.
and apart from the few euros for gtr2, for free!!!
I don't care if Reiza doesn't like it when criticism comes here, it's just as interesting to me as if a sack of rice falls over in China.
In the end I end up with GTR2 again and ams2 goes into the bin just like AC, ACC, PCars and all the games that complain about sim.
If you don't like it, just delete my post.
    Micha

Maybe we're forgetting that this is a free update for a game... Some comments leave me quite puzzled.

    Free ...
This is to fix a issue with the current physics, so needed for the players

And with increase in players and people buying the game it is profitable to Reiza

And we will have 2 DLC also...

You make it sound like AMS2 is unplayable right now?

From crimson he said that generous values in tyres hysteresis lead to a lot slip angle, so this is a issue

And a lot of people that don't play AMS 2 is due to physic

So profitable for Reiza to fix this

Some of us bought AMS2 on day one, before it was released Reiza layed out a development plan, it was that plan and knowing what they had done with AMS1 that persuaded many of us to part with our money. and put our faith in Reiza.
Reiza imo have done wonders with the game so far I have every faith they will deliver all that they promised even if it takes longer than most of us first thought it would, I agree that at times it can be frustrating to still see day one bugs in the game.

However I do think we just need to be patient and stop whining about 1.6, but no it is not a free update it is part of the development that we were promised and have already paid for.

Very happy for you if you enjoy the game in current state but understand that no everyone is liking this physic .

And earing from some club members that 1.5 cars feel crap compared to 1.6 means that the current version isn't good in tyre physic

Personally, I prefer that they are writing code, not the timescale announcements or delay explanations, especially since Renato does both. 1.6 is huge in scope with plenty of opportunities for unexpected delays and previous communication seems to backfire on them and created more harm than not saying anything.

This is my point exacly. In may the update was even then at best few months away - no need to tease whole world about it with STEAM posts.

Plus the "update without a release date" narrative is straight up denial.

PoE 2 got delayed and we get a video from director explaining what happened and claiming guilt in that.

Raceroom announced in late august new update on september 4th with DTM24 pack coming at a later date. The DTM24 pack actually had no window of release (contrary to 1.6 update), but still they acknowledged that everyone is waiting and let us know the delay is because they still wait for one of manufacturers aproval.

The biggest issue IMO is that Reiza were way too much forthcoming at first with announcment back in may and now time and time again they refuse to own up the delay. On the contrary, from all the comunication it seems they are actually upset with us being dissapointed

While i do wanna give Reiza time to get 1.6 ready for a steady release. I just feel the lack of communication and closing open form from dusicussion is not a great look. Im not asking for an exact release date but for them to say "oh wait a few days we will have something" and we have been kept silent since mid October. If its a small Dev Log fine, I will take that over getting nothing.

Im just worried about a delay coming and 1.6 drops when AC Evo comes to early access. But im still hopeful we will get 1.6 before the end of the year.....

I find it interesting how all those leakers must have crystal balls and a view into the future, if even the peeps at Reiza themselves can't say for sure when the update will be released (except it's always been "as soon as possible").

Speaking of crystal balls, this actually reminds me of a funny story my former boss once told me. A customer had been waiting for something (he had put in the necessary papers which were now pending evaluation), and he kept harassing the staff about when the process was going to be done. The customer then went to my bosses office and asked the same question over and over again. "When will it be done?!"

Unable to give an honest answer because other departments were involved as well, my boss, who happened to have a glass ball on his desk, just kept his cool, grabbed the glass ball and said. "Let me look into the future... Next Thursday!"

The customer was enraged and left the building. The crazy thing? What he was waiting for really happened the following Thursday...

I would've loved to see his face when he found out, haha. :D

Yep I would also like to have a small dev update. Last update was in Early October we are in November and don't even get me started on the promise of summer release in the dev update part 1. I know it's hard and we should be grateful that we still have updates not like AC Competizione or Rfactor 2.

But the teased content plus at least for me and the promise of IMG 1999 F1 mod and fixed helmets for 1995 + scenarios makes me wanna have 1.6. right now.

If you play single player it's not unplayable, but some bits are most definitely broken. Tyre wear is bugged to the point where if you want to have a competitive race you need to disable tyre wear with several car-track combos. AI can be ridiculous, mostly when it comes to yielding to incoming cars when being lapped or on out- or in-laps.

Like I said, not unplayable but most definitely in need for urgent fixes. I understand these fixes are related to the update, there's probably no point in fixing 1.5 tyre wear only to get back to it for 1.6 for example, but the point remains. I imagine that if you play mostly multiplayer, or do only short singleplayer races, you're fine.
