Why not making a preview with confirm car and track already in the game ?

 

exactly! i want a preview of the 1.6, not a DLC preview. OT.gg stream shown some content it shouldn't, but on a recorded video (no stream) a beta tester could show whats ready to be previewed (with reiza's approval).
i think nils was ready to do a preview and that would be great because i guess he would focus on physics and tire models etc and not promoting the DLC

 

Any thoughts for the Algarve Portimao circuit? Just strikes my mind since I'm viewing the 4 hours of Portimao.

Cool circuit but I wouldn't expect a 'major' one if there is anything else (which I don't expect). Maybe something like an RX or karting track if anything.

 

Objectively, even though I love REIZA like crazy, Mansell's reasoning is logical and motivated.
We, the fans, were not the ones pushing for a new version of the game. We were told that they were working on a version, 1.6, which would have made the entire simulator take a leap forward.
And this starting in March 2024.
It seems logical to me that in October someone could ask questions.
Why is the update not arriving?
Are there problems?
With the beautiful relationship that REIZA has built with fans/customers, a word or two on the state of the work would be at least due. Only for the love with which we follow the development of what we consider to be the best simulator on the market (we wouldn't be here talking about it, otherwise).
We don't expect dates or deadlines.
But only to understand where we have arrived, what the problems are and what is being done to solve them.
I understand that it can be a bit complicated to fit this thing in with organizational problems.
But the audience that follows is the main sponsor of the AMS2 project.
Making this audience happy costs little: a simple communication: we are here, we want to go there, but we have this and this problem.
I think it would be very nice to have this kind of relationship with the developers.
But I can only say my opinion in this forum that is already a privileged relationship with the programmers.

 

Not sure if you can comment on that but is a rework of flying starts on the cards, either for 1.6 or beyond ?
I'm surely not the only one that keeps getting confused by being overtaken by people towards the start, being told wrong starting positions etc.
Something similar to ACC or LMU would go a long way i feel.

 

Let me alleviate your concern. There are no problems. Everything is going smoothly and as planned. Soon you will be able to experience this for yourself. When is soon you may ask? When Renato says we're going live and leaving beta, not a moment before.

 

The "problem" is that Reiza is headed by a CEO that always thinks he and his team can do three times more work in timespan X than is actually humanly possible.

 

Yes it is true that the delay + no information about why it happend + no plans for weeks to come can give a bad taste

With the new patch, have the audio issues with vehicles in replays been fixed? In some cars, the engine sound is missing in various onboard cameras. One of the most recent I've tested is the Copa Montana.

I've also noticed an issue with the windshield of the Vintage Touring Tier 2 cars. The Mini has a rain visibility problem (resulting in a "white noise" effect), while the Lotus doesn’t show water droplets accumulating on the windshield.

I also wanted to ask if there will be spacing between different classes during rolling starts, like in the WEC or IMSA championship.

 

I disagree. And thats fine; with 8 billion people on the planet there's going to be plenty of opinions.
This thread is much better than the last one which is now closed, but its still prone to the 'entitled' behaviour that is so unpleasant.
Reiza owe us nothing imho. I paid for a game. its a fantastic game, and I've had and continue to have so many hours of entertainment from it. I dont care, or more importantly dont expect, more for that money.
I dont sit here having bought my house a few years back hoping the builder pops around and adds a few upgrades for free. This "they owe is this" behavious is shameful imho.
Go play the game rather than moan about your entitlement to Reiza working for you for free.

Sorry I expect this post will be deleted; but its a PITB when some parts of this hobby are so demanding as if they are owed something.

 

I speak for myself.
I am not owed anything from anyone.
I already own what I paid for, and it is sensibly ahead of all the competition in the fields I am interested into.
But nevertheless I am let down when anyone hints and suggests for multiple times about multiple things in a short timeframe (e.g. days/weeks) and those are consistently missed.
Get me, Reiza has ALL the rights in the world to do it, I just consider it disrespectful.
This post is not on-topic and probably it would better be deleted, but I just wanted to clarify that, to me, it is not a matter of feeling I am owed anything that I paid for. It's only that I feel like I am treated more like a child ("i'll give you the candy in 5 minutes..... " and hours pass...) rather than an adult.

 

Reiza doesn't delete posts for no reason. Your post says what a lot of people feel so I'd expect you will live to see another day.

 

Much like Mr. Martinez is disrespecting the community by knowingly posting in a language that the rest of the forums doesn't know. These are the same type of people who when on the race track have no common courtesy to others, so why should anyone care what he thinks? I know I don't.

 

It's sad that one of the few studios that communicates development along the way get so much grief from people. At some point I really hope Renato just says screw it and does like the other studio's do. Wait until it's ready, with no news of any kind beforehand, then set a release date a month away while allowing a few creators to tease. Of course that means you get it a month after it's already been finished, but hey, the date is the date and Reiza gets a nice vacation after working tirelessly for months on end. Would that make all the whiners happy?
