I love city tracks and the different feel they bring to racing.

I find Monaco too narrow and its hairpin too tight to find the track enjoyable, but it looks gorgeous. Would love to see Singapore, Macau, etc. The more we can add that into the mix, the better!

Yeah the whole "steer more to overcome understeer" has been one of the worst things for me in AMS2, naturally you always come into the corner trying to put the max amount of steering angle until you start understeer and in all other sims you are penalized by oversteering more since this produces understeer! But not in AMS2, you magically find some more grip there and the car turns in, really off putting and unnatural.

These are the exact things I will be looking for in 1.6 and I really hope they are solved because that would make this sim really amazing. They did solve the insane amount of aero that some cars had before, now you can loose the rear during high speed corners in a F3 for example.

So I know they are making improvements and trust them in it!

What can I expect from the 1.6 update in my favorite simulator?
Primarily the development of tire handling, including better handling of vintage (e.g. F1 1967) tires.
I would like the AI to notice when it starts to rain during the race and not go like on a dry track!
If these are fulfilled, I will be satisfied!

 

I made a low pass yesterday evening from the house of a friend who is a beta tester and that has a very similar equipment to mine, in addition to the numerous cars now published by Reiza there is a lot of other meat on the fire, I was really impressed.
I will not comment on what has not yet been made explicit by Reiza but I tried the Default, the Default+ profiles and also a custom profile that I currently use and that is already set up and tested for 1.6.
I drove as much as possible on as many vehicles and new circuits as possible (a couple of hours) and I must say that the driving sensations obtained are very different from those experienced at my house on the latest official version of the game, guys it will really be fun.

Back to the subject of VR does anyone know if AMS2 / Madness engine has plans to support Quad Views Foveated Rendering?
There are significant performance gains to be had, in Rennsport for example my fps went from 55 to 90 just from using Quad Views on maxed out settings. UE5 gets support out of the box (I don't think the Rennsport devs are even aware of it). I believe it was also possible in UE4 as well, but needs some code tweeks to utilise, seems Kunos were not interested in VR enough, shame as if any SIM needed better VR performance its was ACC. I suspect EVO wont have it either. But if AMS2 can use it that would be a great performance boost for us VR-ers.

In the GT3 he looks to be sliding and counter steering out of the corners - still looks not too dissimilar from 1.5 behaviour to me. Hopefully I'm wrong on that.

So in other GT3 with normal throttle and good TC setup you can confirm that it is not drifting at exit ?

 

And also that Mike's shifting into the lowest gear with the most acceleration for most of the corners - "first gear problems". Having a GT3 with tight bends and a short first cog isn't perhaps the best demonstration of corner grip being amended, but Mike wanted to show the car so his enthusiasm can be forgiven.
