Just to comment on Mikes GT3 video.

I have no idea about how 1.6 will drive and not trying to defend the work here but there are some major flaws with Mikes driving.

He always chucks it in first gear during slow corners, I have no idea why he does this because he doesn't even have time to drive in the gear until its time to shift up, also when he does this he just outputs too much torque and thus unsettling the cars on corner exit.

Also his driving is very erratic, hes constantly making inputs and oversteering so he's off the racing line, he should really work on smoother inputs.

Those reasons alone makes me believe it might actually not be a game issue but more a display of his driving.

And I really hope i'm right here because I agree it should be generally tighter on exit than in 1.5.

Seems to me theres more risk to the content creator who's combo selections & driving abilities come under scrutiny as we search for excuses to mask what our lying eyes see. Unless your an esports driver beyond criticism I"d stay clear!

I think part of the reason is talking and driving isn't as easy as we might think, especially when it's for a video that's going to be posted online.

Also that FOV he has set up for recording because he runs triples is really zoomed in and I think it exaggerates things.

If you look at Mike's content for other sims it always looks similar to this, I thinks it's a combination of talking while driving, his driving style and the FoV.

 

Does anyone know about quadviews? I think my original post was lost after the GT3 video dropped

Oh yeah for sure not an easy task, not trying to bash on his driving but more an explanation of why the driving seemed a bit odd!

 

Also he seems to be getting a cold or something. Doing anything when you’re feeling less than 100% physically can make your brain do odd things like shifting down too many gears or desiring to race on a slippy track like Long Beach

 

Someone on a AMS2 Facebook group stated that the time trial records have been reset. WE ARE GETTING CLOSE PEOPLE!!!

Well in his defense he's recording a video, seems like he's not okay on the throat, and he tends to jump sims quite frequently, so it's never gonna be easy.
Personally I would wait for people to make their own opinions, some people will find it game changing, and others will say it's still not good, that happens with any sim and will always happen, people have a perception on whats realistic which is 99% based on how their favourite sim does things, and anything that's not similar tends to be regarded as unrealistic.
Just drive and have fun yall
