One thing I've come to realise with ams2 and most other sims is to get the best from the physics you really need to have your ffb settings nailed down.
Now this can vary wildly from one piece of hardware to another but generally speaking it's so worth spending as much time as possible refining it.
With just a few settings in my driver menu I've got 1.5 in a place where I'm really happy with how it feels, to the point where I'm almost dreading 1.6 dropping as I'm going to have to experiment again!
Seriously though I'm really looking forward to the experience.

Figured this was a good time to do some housekeeping and start over with a fresh 1.6 install

I know it's not really necessary, but I installed the game on this PC over four years ago, and three different VR headsets with various tweaks and tuning, over 40 different custom FFB files and a lot of tinkering with configuration files probably have probably left quite a mess

 

I was thinking the same thing but is it easier to delete the user folder for AMS2, rather than to uninstall and reinstall? Or does this not matter?

 

All configuration files are in the documents folder, but mods and custom liveries are in the main game folder, and I just wanted to get rid of it all…

 

The Time Trial Leaderboards have no records on them could this be a sign?

Yep, it's a sign the release is close!
Reiza often release on Saturdays, but this release is not normal so who knows?
But I'd say days rather than weeks.

They wouldn’t close TT for that long (I know about last year, but that was an anomaly)

 

They've restoked the boilers on the Hype Train this week and after all the comments about communications recently I doubt they would have done that for no reason. I'd guess internally they are aiming for this weekend but it might slip another week.

 

Yesterday Renato mentioned in the last Dev Update that there would be a Dev Update about circuits. So I would be surprised if they released a Dev Update after the update, maybe today at the latest and the 1.6 on Saturday?
I think it would be Monday or Tuesday Dev Update and the following weekend the 1.6 release, if we're lucky.

 

I think this saturday is too close and he needs time to prepare another DevUpdate (unless is already done). So i think next week we will get the Track Update and the weekend after the 1.6 update.
