Thank you for your thoughtful response. I want to clarify that I wasn’t referring to you specifically, and I’m sorry if it seemed like I was pointing fingers. I write in Italian and then translate to English, so sometimes the meaning doesn’t come across as intended. When I mentioned dislikes and disagrees, I was speaking in general about the active participants in this discussion, not singling anyone out.

I also wanted to respond to several points raised by others with a single message. I’m not upset, but I do feel a bit disheartened by some of the negative feedback. I put a lot of passion and effort into creating this comparison, as you can see from the video where I even synchronized the laps for accuracy.

Just to clarify, I don’t have any benefit in "promoting" Raceroom. No one is paying me, and neither is my YouTube channel, as someone mentioned. My channel is simply a place where I share my passions with friends—it’s not a professional platform. I’m not a YouTuber, I don’t have thousands of followers, and I don’t monetize anything. I created this video purely out of passion for simulation and wanted to share it here to hear your thoughts, nothing more.

I truly didn’t mean to imply that you were at fault, and I appreciate the time you took to respond and share your perspective. My goal is to share thoughts and have interesting discussions, not to create frustration for anyone.

I also agree with you that the next time, I’ll make sure to post in a more appropriate section. Thank you for pointing that out—it’s a fair observation, and I’ll keep it in mind. I hope we can continue to discuss these topics constructively and in good faith.

 

I´m leaving my country and my rig in 4-5 days for 1 year and I hope a lot that the 1.6 gets released anytime soon. Even though the chances are minimal I guess.

A question thats not 1.6 related. Is there a mod or a way to rename the cars? Instead of Formula Ultimate Gen 2 I want to rename it to Formula 1 2022. I know Reiza cant do that due to licensing. But modding is ok.

 

Getting excited to do some Hypercar bump-starting. I forgot that was modelled for 1.6…

The gap between staging test and public release in April was 24 hours.

 

This was the 5th or 6th this last week…

 

Mike even says at the start of his latest video that AMS2 v1.6 is about to go public:

There's chance it may be out when you return! That sucks though, I just hope it's ERASMUS kind of situation and not some obligatory army service BS....


On top of 1.6 I wonder how far will the cold tires changes go. I've played some LMU durign weekend and I feel like it represents the total opposite of 1.5 leniency and I hope 1.6 won't go that far.

 

Um.... Automobilista 2 (not Beta) has gone staging. The last time this updated was for 1.5.6... 7 months ago. Get the coal lads!

Not yet. AI calibration and some other stuff is ongoing, but it is a lot of content to work through (for all weather, tyre and fuel conditions as well), even if you do it quickly.

 

At this point I'd take whatever they have done, they can send me the rest later

 

I'm sure you and everyone in the forum would, but then two things will happen 100%

1. RandomYoutuberXY does not read the patch notes and inevitably goes for the worst combination available in the game, which then forms the basis for his opinion on the game.

2. RandomPotentialCustomer sees the video and recoils in shock, then decides to open a forum account and warn people of the broken game by spreading the video.


Using a bit of hyperbole of course, but really, you can't give too unfinished stuff to the general public. Every time Reiza tried (especially with some of their releases of borked cars in 2020 and 2021), it went wrong...

Exactly why I avoid all these useless YouTubers.

 

I´ve played excessively F1 (2022 and 2000s) in the last 2 days. Monza and Suzuka. And a bit Interlagos. I´ve had a hell of a great time.

But the Ai has some problem corners where they go through too slow. Especially in the rain. Whats the opinion of Beta testers, did this got better? Go karts is the worst. I´ve tried 3 times and had safety car 3 times after 2-3 corners.

Also I noticed there are virtual flat spots. The vibrations in the wheel really feel great. But the flat spots are not visible. Will we get visible flat spots?

Edit: Also, how difficult is it to mod the game? I wish we could have a F1 HUD mod. It would be so perfect to have a F1 200x HUD for the F1 200x cars and a modern F1 HUD for the modern F1 cars.
