Hi All, RWB are holding their first race event in AMS on Friday 12th August. We picked a mod track and car as our first to make things as accessible as possible for our established members (track well known and the BMW WTCC is a nice easy car to drive). Event info below and you can sign up here or join in on the night: http://www.rwb-racing.enjin.com/events Track - Monza GP (non DRS) Car - BWM M3 TC Start - 9:00pm You need to make sure you have the track and car mod. You can download them via the links below. http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/monza-gp-2-seasons-drs.9216/download?version=19073 http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/wtcc-bmw-e90.9566/download?version=18272 Practice - 15 mins Qualy - 30 mins Race - 15 laps Tuning on All assists available Teamspeak attendance is required, even if only to listen. The rest I'm still working out but there shouldn't be any surprises. Anyone of any skill level is welcome however we demand clean driving so if you are hell bent on winning at any cost or just plain careless, don't bother as we have little patience for anyone ruining play. If you remember one rule racing with us it's this: If you take someone off, you let them past, even if it means losing several places. We're a competitive but courteous bunch. Saying that we are not expecting a pro race here; many of us are new to the game and after Project Cars it's a significant learning curve so there will be incidents and we expect the pit repair crews to be busy Cheers.
Hi - we've got 9 people signed up from the club and a few more from the Reiza forums saying they will make it along so about 12 people so far. Really looking forward to this and would be great if more could make it along. If we can get 15-20 people racing that would be most excellent.
Quick bump - event is tomorrow night and quite excited as it's our first in AMS. Be great if you can make it along. Cheers.
Great fun last night in our first proper event. I'd show some replays from the event itself but the floating car issue on the replay is very pronounced so instead here's a few from the follow on race in the MetalMoro's on Johannesburg. Post race celebrations ruined by thuggery Great racing and great fun as we all get to grips with AMS.
It was a great race, and the BMW was a nice choice. I was in a battle every lap. Everyone drove well. There was a little rubbing but that's to be expected with touring cars.
