    Thanks for sharing.
    Nice work
That looks really good. Must be satisfying to start with bits and finish with something very functional and cool.
Did the basic shape come as it is or did you 3d print it yourself as well?
you did say what the base was but I dont recall ??
So g25 to direct drive with decent pedals and shifter, a big change. Is it easier to improve lap times. You said the shifter also a top bit of kit.
I only tried a friends decent rig once, was very impressed

    sidenote
Was fun last night esp the Brasilia with I guess mostly Brazilian's (going by their names) I see less European type names now online though its hard to tell. @Renato Simioni It Would be nice to see a country flag next to names. This would also identify whos AI and whos human
(in the future at some point. Colour change of name meantime would be easier)

The ai at 120/100 were maybe + 10 too much. (for me) with just 2 ai maxed out we can get a good spread on the grid if people join.
Did you manage to regain on car ai 2 after he passed. Looked like a good fair scrap you had with it. Was Glad to see that most people stayed and will join again possibly.
Will race again tonight and try other Brazilian tracks
    see you later

    thanks for posting.
Hope it makes for better racing. Sounds like it should.:)

DRS kind of kills some proper racing since introduction. ie get good drs and the overspeed means easy overtake or rear end shut the car your following! no names but could name a few!!. rather boring
Older f1 was more racing skill required to line up and pass, Just my thought of course.
    Thanks for sharing

I totally agree. If I remember well, DRS was introduced to favor overtakes in the hope that it would boost entertainment. Personally, I don't remember feeling a single time "wow, that battle for third was great", it was more like "and here we go, easy overtake". No entertainment there.

Give a tool to a bunch of engineers and they'll know to create conditions so that it will be used to serve the team, not just for the sake of entertainment.

Agreed best overtakes since drs introduced have not been in/after drs zone, but elswhere and but not often enough
Its been nice this year to see some of the older tracks used as most new ones are a little drab as the drivers have said also how much they have enjoyed the older.
It should be interesting next year with Perez next to Max next year as well as the other Team /Car changes.

Those days of big turbos, rocket fuel, 1500bhp
Try the vintage turbos here in ams2 and set to full boost, a dash of light rain, fast track. Have fun.

    Happy new year to everyone.
Well things have moved on since last week, with the latest updates and tweeks,
(respect to devs and there time allocation over holidays, esp regarding family time lost,)

With so many out of date Videos on youtube its nice to see a new batch with the new content.
This particular video caught my eye for its production, and hell what a rig!!!
This is imo a great display of the new Merc GT3 driven hard at Nords.
    Enjoy

Also a good display, of how overdone AMS2 seems in bouncing for some people, to be honest...

    Morning.
Yes that to. Maybe he runs stiff also
just impressed by how hard he"s pushing and correcting with power. Too many vids are just like going down to shops!!. Some rig, looks pretty immersive.
So if you have chance at some point
    Idle speed of bt44?
My thoughts on this are aside from diff issues. In competition (trials,2wh/4wh) aprt from correct idle to aid engine braking I used to run as others as well, no idle. this was a great help in slowing for corners.
Opposite with too fast idle gave oversteer as braking is fighting engine still giving power.

No clue, mate. At this point i start to give up on the F-Retro to be honest. Weird rear aero behaviour, tyres, diff, suspension, engine response.(they're not the only DFV cars ingame so you could try the 60s cars with DFV and watch out for similarities, if it's the engine, also try the v12).
In my opinion, this class is broken since release, has wildly improved, definetly, but it's still so strange.

    It's so frustrating.
I take the GT3-R Porsche and run it on any track, and i sit there like:
    0Ccwb.jpg

Then i switch to any F-Retro car and i'm like
    cup54.jpg
    Also have a nice day!

Be aware, if i remember correctly, viperconcept made a mistake in this video by mistakenly explaining higher power ramp angle=more power oversteer (lock), which might be a result of confusion, because most sims use a percentage, where more indeed means more.
But for the most part, viperconcept is a pretty good source for racing game reviews and knowledge basics.

He is playing AMS2, also had some fun with his dad:

Good point, It was his simple laymans terms/illustrations that caught my eye.
Thinking about how many people asked in the f/vintage, retro drivability threads in the early days..
if he's wrong about the parameters adjustments, then i will need to make an edit to show that. Or ask him to make a new vid to clarify.
I did link Yorkie065 guide somewhere..
Will find time to check vipers, if I cant then Ill drop the vid. Theres enough confusion with reversed to some, logic in scales (tc/abs) here.
    Ha fun yep

Like mentioned, this is probably a mistake due to some confusion with the usual percentage thing with diff setups.

Normally, viperconcept is a very good source for racing sim setup and driving explanations.
I recommend his setup challenges, where you see a car doing things and he is asking, what you have to change on the car, to cure it. It really helps. In context to that, you have also a full playlist of all the components, you can adjust and what it actually does. So this mistake was a quite unusual thing for this guy, he has still much integrity in my eyes and delivers a good resource for beginners, to get into setup stuff (which is still a widely "mysterious" thing for many simracers, unjustly).^^
