Simsteering Wheel - inputs not detected by AMS 1 & 2

    I've recently rebuilt my computer and upon installation of Automobilista 1 & 2 I can not get the software to recognise my SimSteering wheel Left & Right steering and my Heusinkveld Pedal inputs.
    The game minimises to the task bar after I get the main menu screen.
    System Information:
    i7 9700K CPU, 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD, Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X M/B, 16Gb DDR4 Ram, MSI Geforce RTX2080Ti Graphics Card,DirectX 12

    Can anyone suggest some possible fixes?
