When T500RS is selected I have no response when the sim starts. If I change to T300RS it seems to work. Why is this happening?

Automobilista 2 won't recognize my steering inputs from my Thrustmaster T-GT.

    Some thing I've already checked;

    • I have checked and I am running the newest firmware.
    • I have also made sure steam is not forcing the input control.
    • I am using the T500RS option.
    • I have also ensure that the switch on the front is set to "OTHER"
    • I've re-booted several times
I can assign all other buttons (paddle shift up/down, knobs, etc.). However when I go to assign the steer left and steer right it won't see anything. Once I begin to turn back the wheel the opposite direction it says there is an error as it detected multiple inputs and doesn't register anything.

The wheel is seen and works fine in my other games iRacing, Assetto Corsa, ACC, etc.

Please help, as the game is unplayable for me since it won't recognize my wheel.

    Thank you.

If you have other device plugged (Hotas, shifter, etc.) I suggest to remove all and retry this.

No problems with the T500RS here. I only have the wheel plugged in and the newest firmware.
    maybe delete your profile.
Or your wheel is faulty. Does it work in other sims?

I only have a Thrustmaster Sparco Handbrake and TH8A Shifter plugged. You mean in Automobilista 2 I cannot use a wheel and a handbrake and shifter?

For troubleshooting sake; I did unplug them and no change. The game will not recognize the wheel turning left of right. All other controls, work.

Any other suggestions? Otherwise, maybe I should just request a refund as I don't want to play it without my wheel.

Thanks for any help our there.

Did you solve the problem? I have the same issue with a Fanatec Wheel which used to work already in Automobilista 2... - must have some other cause...

Checking the different threads it seem like there often is some problems in AMS2 recognising wheel/shifters.
My own non-FFB wheel is only recognised about 50-60% of starting the game.
It has been a habit to exit AMS2 swearing a few times and then start the game again.
2nd time the wheel is allways recognised.

ByTheWay: My completely unqualified guess is that AMS2 have problerms recognising USB ports.

    Fanatec driver 4.01 is buggy.
If you have that installed, try the one week later 4.02 version

    Thanks for the Tipps.
I did update manually to 402 (automatic keept me at 400).
But it did not change the "Multiple Inputs Detected" if I try to set up steering or in the calibration just not showing anything.

Its working fine in other race games by the way... man I wish i could solve this.

maybe the Fanatecs have some noise on the signal.
Try to select Manual and give every pedal a minimum of 5% in Fanatec control panel.
Then tray to assign the wheel functions.
Or disconnect pedals. Assign wheel. Then restart AMS2, connect pedals and continue your controler setup

Thanks again - that also did not change anything (5% or disconnect).
It must be something specific to automobilista... some config file or something gone bad.
Its working in alle other game I could test with a wheel (Dirt 2.0, ACC, Forza,...) - i will intall PC2 again and see how its in there.

    @MREis

Navigate to Automobilista 2 folder in Documents.

Pls find folder "profiles" under "savegame".

Delete files in there (screenshot of those files below so you can see what you are looking for). These are game settings and your profile so will have to recreated.

Hi Thanks, I did that, also the whole folder.
I did a fresh install of PC2, which i still have on steam - exactly the same issue.
Every other game runs like a charm with the CSL Elite. I have no clue where this is coming from...
I really wonder what else it is detecting on the steering...

Did you try my suggestion just in case?

Next what I can suggest is to select "custom" wheel preset in game, instead of CSL.

What sort of rim you have on csl elite?

Yes of course I did, I am grateful for your help and asked for it!
I deleted just the files, and then the folder just in case, as you can see by the dates:
    upload_2021-3-14_17-49-37.png
I havent tryed the custom wheel, I will see that I get to that tonight.

I have the default rim from the Kit it used to be, its the "F1" Wheel. This should bee the equivalent: CSL Elite F1® Set - officially licensed for PS4™ | Fanatec .

I just mentioned the PC2 since the engine and from what i can see from the files the basics for the controller settings are (as expected) very similar. So it was just a cross check to see if the issue is the same for that clean install.

I tried the custom wheel setup - same problem - nothing is bound, I try to set the steer left axis and get the multiple input detected as soon as I steer like a turn to the left.

I suddenly remember this multiple thing from either rF2 or Raceroom.
There it was caused by sensor noise/spikes on the wheel/pedals - so the game got more than 1 input at calibration time.
