He's come up with a way of ensuring realistic but unpredictable weather for his races, so I thought you might like to try it with the scaled wet weather AI you mention in your video. A first look at the new update!

 

Heres a little video I recently made, its me deliberately throwing a Porsche Cup car about a little bit abruptly at Spa (with a little D&B thrown in). Its not actually AMS2 its Rf2 but im posting it here because this is what I now miss about AMS2. For all the improvements that have been made in AMS2's tire physics its also had a negative effect on tires over the limit and past a ceratin yaw angle. Theres a few slides in this footage that I simply could'nt get away with now in AMS2 as after a certain point the tires just give up and you insta spin, its become almost a bit like Iracing in that respect.

Theres one big sustained drift around Les Fagnes that just would not be possible with a Cup car in AMS2 now, you could get the back end out that far but it would'nt be recoverable and certainly not sustainable.

I remember folks saying about "no more slidy cars in AMS2 now. No the cars should not feel floaty or constantly on the slide, they should bite like they do now and feel more planted within the limit, but that does not mean cars should'nt be able to slide. Fact! cars can slide, and yes even on slicks! Its not good practice for racing and not the fastest way around but its realistic!

I'd love to see the current tire model as it is now, but with some work done on the over the limit behaviour, so grip can go and come back again quickly.

Anyway what are folks thoughts on this?
