This Sim Commander software does my head in, somehow I've got stuck with 2 lines of Game Force Feedback and it won't let me get rid of one of them. anyone know how to do this. I even deleted all the profiles for the release version of the game, copied the beta version and it was still in there ffs, scream and t e a r my h a i r out.
However the best thing is having struggled with numb FFB since the big update I noticed @Wayne Whitmore you have a Feedback Effects line which I've added in and now it is beautiful beyond belief.
edit: and I definitely feel flat spots on the tyres now even after the first locking too much of the brakes. Its woken up and it is beautiful.

I see you haven't opened up Game Force Feedback Effects. For me this is the difference between chalk and cheese as they say. Not tried many cars yet but what I have tried didn't need any tweaking.

I can def try, what settings do you recommend? And just to confirm, this setting just limits how much of each effects the game can use?

I did just try, of course leaving everything at 100 seems to make no difference. Guess you have to fine tune further to make use of this ffb setting. It is neat setting tho, I can see this being helpful with certain cars where I had too much chatter with the wheel, can fine tune this setting instead of increasing ffb smoothing.

as I understand that parameter, it opens up the channel for the game to provide all the effects instead of the SC4 way of doing things which one of the Reiza team says are all generated by the Reiza physics engine. In game I use
    Gain 45
    LFB 0
    FX 10
    Damping 20
    using the Default FFB.
    these are my SC4 settings

No just go with it as it is and those settings within the game. So far I've not been disappointed in all the cars I've tried so far. Those will exclude Formula cars tho, too much for me. Having said that I'd abandoned using the Group C as I couldn't control them how I like, but not any more. I'm very happy about that as I've always loved those cars.

With regards to the recent upgrade of SimCommander 4 to 4.5 using the new net stuff, I tried to upgrade but got a load of MS Visual Basic Core error messages. Anyone else had this or just upgraded without a problem?

Mine upgraded without a problem. I did decide to remove version 4 because I didn't realize that it was installing 4.5 as a separate program not an overwrite.

thanks for your replies everyone. I was thinking of doing the same @FADOQ and removing the current installation and do a clean install. The only problem with that is that I had to mess about with the launcher for Assetto Corsa to get it to launch Content Manager as I'm not very proficient at doing these kinds of things. I'll keep a copy of my settings somewhere and see how it goes.

Keeping a copy of files is always a good Idea.
With sc4 I did a manual Entry for GT Legend as it was not automatically discovered and after 4.5 installation it was still There so I guess the uninstall doesn't remove everything from the disk

    Hi Neal ...
do you recommend the Game Force Feedback Effects parameter to be set at 100%?
    I've always kept it a default 15.69%
Finding good SC settings sometimes is an exercise in voodoo...... :p

Thanks Wayne...I'll give it a try!

I did some testing at Imola in the 3.8 Porsche and enjoyed the feel.
Those cars have evolved nicely. 1:49.8 default setup...
I used Wayne's SC settings and in game 40 Gain and the rest at 0 (Default)

Does anyone know how to get SC 4.5 to run the latest AMS2 Beta?
It runs 1413 instead of 1424. TIA

in the launcher/basic settings/game do you have Automobilista 2 (beta) selected. this comes from the Steam list of games available? My beta is running the 1.4.2.4.2166
