One has been spotted in the files. If you install a Thunderflash or PCMT mod through CM you'll find new cars in the Vehicles folder, one of them being the "Stock_USA_Gen2" or something along those lines!

A couple of new AI XML file parameters that would (hopefully) be relatively easy to implement, but add a boatload of depth for users:
    - max_throttle
    - max_brake
Meaning the maximum travel of the pedals. 0.95 max_throttle would make the driver only ever give the car 95% throttle on the straights, to simulate lower engine power.

Of course, you'd have to give the player the ability to impose the same restriction on themselves, either by reading it from the XML or a slider in the menu, which is an added complication. But this would give the possibility for user to crudely simulate more car choices than provided by Reiza.

a parametric EQ to remove the high pitch whistle from some of those engine sounds. I can't run certain cars it's just painful

I relate to that, my ears are hypersensitive to the point my Master Volume is set to only 8% ! The high pitch whistle of cars hurts sooo badly. There should be a mode like in the F1 games where you can simulate how a driver hears while in the car, and/or what you suggested too. Plus add the option to hear outside car sounds while using the in-car camera.

Yeah, It wouldn't be difficult to do a helmet hearing mode, it'd just be a simple EQ profile.
Put a helmet on those stereo head mics and play white noise and record the curve.
    Such an easily fixable problem.

Also. Gear shift motion haptics, can we have it tied to dedicated surge actuator?

Hi a little thing I would like added it sounds easy to add, mainly in open wheeler cars, when you spin out or stop after a session the brakes smoke

    Very Minor.

I'd love to see F-Ultimate rear lights flash, when in the "Build" ERS mode.

[I haven't read the whole thread! Sorry if any of these are already asked for]
The way I play AMS2 is a bit 'unusual', as I mainly do Time Trial mode around the hardest tracks in the fastest cars, so my wish list for the game might be different to people who play it in a more 'usual' way.

Please let me turn off tyre wear and fuel use in Test Day mode. The options are present but disabled - that's great for testing 'realistic' race scenarios, but the game also has an 'unrealistic' Time Trial mode where tyres never wear and fuel isn't used, and I'd like to be able to practise TT runs without having to actually set times on the leader boards while I learn a new course.

Also, the soft tyres on the Ultimate gen2 (and some other open wheelers?) seem extremely fragile, lasting about 10km or so under hard race conditions. As I usually drive the Nordschleife variants it's impossible to do a lap on the soft tyres with wear enabled, my fronts barely make it to the Carousel.
The current soft Pirellis in F1 seem to be able to do 10-20 laps @ 4-6km / lap, so 50 - 100km approx.
Losing all of the tread after 10-15km seems - unrealistic? And this is on one of the cars that already has the 1.6 tyre wear physics!?

Working replays that last a whole lap, that can be auto-saved for every run I do, with a decent in-cockpit view showing user inputs, and decent telemetry widgets that can be overlaid when watching other people's replays, so I can see what they're doing differently.
You know, just like AC with CM.

When starting a Time Trial there are three buttons on the left to Add Ghost. Split these in half so there are six buttons, with the other three saying Get Setup.
I would like to be able to download other people's setups without having to actually load their ghosts - I don't want the ghost, just the setup. The files are separate so this should be possible.
When the track loads I then have the choice of which setup to load and try.
Having to load a ghost to get the setup really confused me to start with - it's not very intuitive, though sort-of acceptable once you're used to it.

Of course for that to work the game would have to actually reliably save ghosts and setups for TT runs - up till now it's a lottery. Some of my runs get saved ghosts, some don't and I can see no rhyme or reason to explain why. Some tracks have no ghosts at all, others always seem to get them, and with some it's hit or miss. With no ghost even if the setup is saved it's impossible to actually download it, due to the issue above.

Improve the UI for VR gaze control. E.g. if I pause the game mid-run, in order to restart I have to gaze at the Continue button - which is off to the right hand side of the screen. Not ideal if I paused during a left-hander - or anywhere but a right-hander really. Put it in the middle please.

A Restart button that puts me back on the start line ready to go, and not in the pre-start menu. (Like RaceRoom has)

The ability to change car after a track has loaded. Probably a major ask - but it's the track that takes ages to load, loading a new car model should be pretty quick.

I'm sure I can think of more - but that should be enough to be getting on with :)

I would want the option to do a warmup lap on a standing start, helps a lot with immersion.
But i believe that's not easy to implement, so i want to ask a little time on the grid before lights start to go countdown. Just 10 to 15 seconds is enough. To get yourself ready, look around in VR. Getting ready for the race start.
Right now, the moment you click drive, the first red light is on immediatly.

Similar to how when racing online and if there is the "syncing", that kind of moment to take a breath before the race starts is actually very welcome to relax for just a little moment.

Some sort of "wheel not set to centre rotation" warning at the start of a race. A few times I've started a race and found the wheel is 360' off and I've drove into a wall/car

    I like this idea.
I have turned up the menu spring setting in the FFB menu to reduce the chance of this.

I would like to imagine it being something like this and it disappears the moment the lights would be green. And of course it would be optional in the Gameplay - Display settings or as an optional HUD element where you can set the placement and size of each element.

To be honest I would need a siren and flashing lights for me to notice.

For those of us using crew chief having Jim tell us to check our wheel position would be helpful.

Please fix your v1.6 menu , they're a step back.

Look at Project Cars 2. Every single menu option is accessible from the wheel controls, either via wheel dpad or buttons.
Now with v1.6 I have to use a mouse to access the options menu when I didn't have to previously. I'm in VR on a motion rig. I have a headset on. I don't have a mouse near me.
The "back" button, why can't I step back towards the main menu with it? I have to select the option I want from the menu to go backwards. Why?

The car selection. I have no idea what is going on with it. I press up / down and it moves up and down. I press left / right and sometimes it selects the car I want, other times it doesn't do anything at all and I have to fiddle about randomly pressing directions in order to get to the left or right side car selection.
You've designed the whole menu system around a mouse in a game where people use a wheel or game pad?
Please fix it - along with the other menu weirdness like not being able to select a different weather with the dpad once you've selected "hazy" and ran a race
