Something I think would really help with immersion (mostly for the 'historic' racing series, especially Formula 1 seasons) would be the ability for modders to create track skins, not changes to the actual track, just the ability to change:

    Advertising hoardings
    Kerb colours
    Tire barrier colours

Changes to the existing historic tacks like Spa for example where the 1993 version would just need 'Fasters' changed to 'Fosters' & Marlboro added to some hoardings would be simple enough. And also that track could have 1986 & 1988 skins created for example.

This could be done to many existing modern and historic tracks and would greatly enhance immersion.

The ability to double bind some buttons. I don't need headlights/wipers on open wheelers, or DRS on non-F1, and have limited buttons on my wheel. Both features could live on the same button theoretically

I'm back with another cadillac headlight design request. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE 1.6 and especially love what it did to my favorite GTP. It's just a magnificent car but as a person with OCD, there's one thing absolutely eating my brain.

I'm ready to be called a freak etc. for this. I'm just passionate that's all. Caddy Presentation-01.png Caddy Presentation-02.png Caddy Presentation-03.png Caddy Presentation-04.png

Very informative @SunBro. I have the same OCD than you;)

I worked on the 3 endurance lights, but I'll have a deeper look at the horizontal ones, it should not be difficult to do

Wait, you are the model artist? Oh wow i hope i didn't offend you. I'm just really in love with cadillac ever since it's concept stage is all. Thanks for personally replying man!

No I'm not the main model artist, I just work on details like these ones! So no, I'm not offended, but rather grateful!

This mightn't be a popular opinion as I know the majority of sim racers prefer realism, but it would be cool to see a couple more body shapes/models added to the SuperV8 grid, even if they are fictitious models. The current SuperV8 is based on the now defunct Holden Commodore, but other than the silhouette, there is no mention of the brand/model.
Without professing to know the licensing issues that come along with such a thing, I don't see why Reiza couldn't do a "Rockstar" and make there own "SuperV8" models roughly based on other cars to add variety to the SuperV8 grid. Same physics etc, just different silhouettes. I have attached some crude ai gen cars to show the idea.
I enjoy running offline championships with the Superv8 as they are awesome cars to drive, but adding a "Manufacturer" element to it would top it off in my opinion. Add to the fact that there are mods out there where you can edit driver names, you could really immerse yourself in a pseudo V8 Supercars Championship/career with driver, manufacturer changes throughout seasons...........but maybe that's just me and I need to get out more;).

Ability to enable/disable wheel/hands from within races without having to quit
A better replay system (not even being able to jump to certain point on timeline??)
    Save during races
Better photo-option (very basic now, not even able to change focus point)

I guess some of these have been posted already......

    1) The AI setting should be per car type AND track also. Not game global. Seeing the AI is so varied across tracks. You should be able to go into ANY car, at ANY track, and have it have the AI strength (or any other related AI values also!) as per you last used them. Not have to be sure to go over them all before a race, and have to keep a list of them on some notepad somewhere!

    2) The "dual" key bindings, which were only on one Assignment screen in V1.5, and now on THREE Assignment screens in V1.6, should be there for ALL Assignment screens (all 5). There is almost always a use for the ability to have dual bindings - I find a useful case at least once for any of the Assignment screens (if not numerous cases really).

    2) The "same menu layout" logic is still somewhat flawed and has cases where one button/area did "back" but another used a "done" elsewhere. And the "back", which takes you back one stage of some setup etc screen, next is a complete Exit - which you can easily go back that one step too far, as the real next 'back' step you would be taking is now on some other button elsewhere.
The 'intuitive' menu/button logic is still fairly flawed.... (considering that it was supposely looked over to fix up the V1.5 even worse case(s) - obviously not looked over with too much detail or logic!).
eg out of replay there is top left BACK, then the next screen Exit Session (or something) is on the right above the results table. Then,m when you press Exit it does not ask for verification to do so, but most other 'exit' screens DO.

    3) The AI strength and all AI settings should be listed/shown once in the race session - either listed up top somewhere always, or at least a button to pop up a window of those settings. So you can SEE that you did set things up how you wanted, or to recheck etc.
And there are more things, but I don't recall them at this moment, lol....

Please bring back the old replay system/menu. I could start/stop/fast forward and backwards with buttons on my wheel before with the menu hidden. This does not work anymore.

You have multiple user control schemes for that, you could switch between them

Will be nice If we can change between these multiple user controls when in a MP session. We can do this in 1.6?

True, though this is exactly the kind of thing I'll forget to set every single time. Perhaps a feature to assign a control scheme to each car/class would be a good idea for the devs to implement?

This surely have been requested, but we really need an option to reduce cars casting lights, or just disable headlights all together in circumstances when those are not needed. For example i am trying to run AI race in Sebring with 20 GTE cars starting at 8.00 AM. It is clear enough to see everything clearly, but AI cars still keep headlights on, which causes unacceptable performance. So please. This is a feature in many sims and funnily enough I think AMS2 has the highest performance cost on headlights. Especially on VR it makes the game unplayable in these scenarios.

If at all possible/practical, could you increase the fuel capacity of the CCB Mini from the current 26l please?
Currently, races longer than 30mins are not possible to remain competitive against an equally paced AI, as you have to stop for fuel twice as often as they do.

    Current capacities for the class:
    - Chevette: 41l
    - Uno: 51l
    - Mini: 26l
    - Puma GTE: 41l
    - Gol: 51l
    - Passat: 51l

Ideally, all the cars in the class would be able to do equal-ish length stints on fuel.

I can run with fuel usage off for now, so it's not a show-stopper, but it would be nice to have the fuel level as a genuine consideration when doing endurance races in this class.

    Thanks and all the best.

I want to suggest marshalls waving flags. At Le Mans there're many track marshalls doing nothing. They can wave blue, yellow, white flags. Just a suggestion for immersion.

Probably a big ask but can we get the same level of AI customization from singleplayer into multiplayer? I'd love to do a little coop with a friend and being able to use the custom AI files would be nice.

Or at least add the new AI mistake setting into MP, it shows "Standard" but the option is missing when you open the AI settings. I've been having a blast making chaotic races with AI mistakes in singleplayer and would love to share that experience with friends.

One of your problems here is that that is the correct size tank for the mini of that year.
Something that you could try is increasing the pit speed limit, so that you reduce the time lost in the pits. These cars would have raced with no pit speed limits.

That’s a very fair point, to have the fuel usage equalised would then ruin it for those that are looking for it to be historically accurate, and whether that agrees with my agenda or not, that is the more important thing to maintain.

As a follow up/alternate request then, could I ask for a Class Selection option that allows fuel usage options of “Authentic, Equalised in class, Equalised all classes” (or similar).
Whereby the fuel stint length is then equalised to the lowest stint length vehicle found within the option selected, if not set to “Authentic”?

I suspect that this request is much more complicated and far less likely to be implemented, but it would maintain the historical accuracy of the game by default whilst also allowing for all cars to be used/enjoyed on an equal footing.

In the meantime, I’ll look at the pit limit removal and see how that plays out, thanks for the suggestion. Otherwise I’ll just keep fuel usage off and use the tyre life as the stint length limitation because it’s such an enjoyable car to drive I do want to find a way so that I can keep using it and remain competitive in longer races.

    All the best
    Andy
