The Feature Request Thread...

Reiza says the reason they won't put this in the game is that some of the classes, notably the F1-styled Formula classes, are unlicensed. Saying "This is the F1 grid from 1978" or whatever without a license could get them in legal trouble.

 

I don't know if it has been asked already but I am trying to improve my lap times on TimeTrials and the ghost replays from the best players isn't helping much: we can't see their inputs, the engine rev or the gear speed they are using. There is no sound aswell so I was wondering if they could add all these infos to the ghost replay like they do in other games (gran turismo for instance).

 

Probably already said but free camera, could be sort of a content creation update, where you can have a camera system like msfs, allowing for static cameras (ie. helicopter view) that can track the car as well like the roadside currently. Also one fixed to the car, as I haven't been able to use the ctrl+k+k shortcuts to make it work

 

The host should be able to kick players without a vote. Also, the ability to disable the reset button in online play

Request Title: Inverted Grid
Description: Currently, there's no way to run races this way. A system of two consecutive races, the first with qualifying and the second with a reverse Grid based on the result of the first race, would be fantastic. It works perfectly on other sims.

 

They can still implement it and just leave it empty for certain categories though

 

It would be nice to be able to skip certain sessions when the lobby has gathered enough, such as practice

 

With all the available content it would be great to be able to tag my favourite cars and tracks somehow. A "My Favourites" filter could then be added to the car and track selection screens.

 

Feature Request that I'm pretty sure I've posted about before:
All the Singleplayer AI options (such as wet skill and Mistakes) in Multiplayer and custom multi-class field setup like single player has. Right now you can only choose "fill slots with AI" and can't specify how many of each class you'd like.

We run 2-3 player races with AI and wish one day we can change the Wet Skill and Mistakes in Multiplayer. Also is that wet skill accurate or a placeholder? I sure hope they're not actually at 0.50X skill.

Finally please add custom AI name and skills in MP, livery packs could be a per user thing. Let the host determine what AI files get used, we could just all just agree to run the x livery pack before hand.

edit: Livery packs already work like that.

 

One big thing for me would a tv broadcast-style replay option where the camera stays at a spot for a little bit (like the flowers camera during the INDY 500). Also, a blimp cam with an aerial shot would be cool, just some broadcast-style camera options that aren't fixed to a player for content creation.

 

Is it possible to make it so that if a person uses assistants, then his car is heavier or slower, so that there is a balance with those who drive authentic ones?

Request: Single button for Pause and Unpause

Would love to be able to hit a pause button on my wheel, and then press it again to return to the track without having to reach over and press Shift on the keyboard.

Request: Change Control Scheme after track load

I would like to be able to change the control scheme after the track/session has loaded. Many, many times I have to quit back to main menu, change the scheme and then reload the track.

I'm assuming it currently works as it does because of technical limitations - however submitting the request , just in case.

 

Being able to use identical cars in Championship mode would be great.

All single race options should be available in Championship mode.

Request: Separate Mirror from OSD or Ability to turn off all OnScreen Messages

Currently in order to have the on screen mirror you have to have the OSD enabled. With the OSD enabled you cannot turn off on screen messages.

Some cars you simply need the rear view mirror on to be able to anticipate the AI, and the car model has the in-car mirrors at very difficult locations.

Nothing ruins one's concentration more than to have ..

pop up across the total width of your screen. Even the sector time deltas popping up can be distracting.

This kind of thing feels very out of place in a racing sim of the calibre of Automobilista 2.

 

hi i was looking at speed effected FOV and had the thought that i could see better into slower turns if the FOV minimum could be set wider on slower speeds. the maximum FOV got narrower then got wider on slower turns enabling seeing the apex and helping on slow chicanes when drivers are along side.

 

Hi, I'm a newer player. These are quality of life features I would love to see added:

• More information in monitor view, or a dedicated race engineer role. For example: more lap times (RaceRoom shows you all laps in a drop-down style menu) and amount of laps driven for practice and qualifying sessions. Amount of pit stops done by each driver.
• Aerial/helicopter camera for replays and monitor view. This camera angle could give a lot of clarity as to what is happening on track. Alternatively a form of free-look would be great also.
• Time stamps on the replay timeline and the ability to skip to specific laps.
• Improved mouse support in menus. I cannot scroll down the settings menus while also moving my mouse down, for example (at least not with a controller connected).

 

Automobilista is one of the sim game with the closest physics engine to real life feeling. However, game developers should seriously consider to update the graphics of Automobilista. Newly released sim games making you feel more realistic with their updated graphics engines, despite having worse physics engines. For example GT7 has best cars, ACE has the best asphalt and terrain, Forza Motorsport has the best lighting system like stop lamps, head lamps, sky and sun reflections. I think you should bring more realistic graphics and visuals on asphalt, lights, grass, updated car visuals, shaders, etc. and please also get licenses from other brands like Ferrari, Aston Martin, any other gt3 brands. Other games bringing all. I don't want you to fall behind. The graphics are starting to get outdated.
