I’d like to propose the addition of the Chevrolet Intrepid RM-1 to the game’s roster too.

The Intrepid RM-1 is a rare IMSA GTP prototype designed by Bob and Bill Riley and built by Pratt & Miller in 1991. What truly sets it apart is its extreme focus on downforce. Riley deliberately sacrificed top speed to achieve unbeatable cornering grip, making it arguably the fastest car around twistier American circuits of its era. Now that AMS2 already has licenses for several Chevrolet (aka Pratt & Miller!) models, it feels like a perfect time to bring in this Chevy powered icon.

Structurally, the RM-1 features a carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb composite monocoque with full pushrod actuated suspension front and rear. Its mid-mounted, naturally aspirated Chevrolet V8 (built by Katech) produced around 800 hp and was paired with a five speed Hewland manual gearbox. The car’s driving experience would be unique in the sim, with massive cornering loads and a distinct high downforce balance that would set it apart from existing prototypes.

Despite its brilliance in handling, the RM-1’s competitive career was short lived. A catastrophic failure at Watkins Glen in 1991 caused a career threatening accident for Tommy Kendall and halted its momentum. It managed a single victory in New Orleans that year, but development and funding challenges brought its IMSA run to an end by 1993.

Including the Intrepid would not only expand AMS2’s historic prototype offerings but also allow players to experience a car with a truly unique aerodynamic philosophy. Its story as an ambitious but ill-fated challenger adds historical depth, and the Chevrolet engine connection ties neatly into AMS2’s existing licensed content.

Again and given its rarity, it might work perfectly as a DLC or “historic prototype” pack addition, appealing to both dedicated sim drivers seeking a technical challenge and motorsport history fans.

I'm hoping for the Aston Martin AMR1 group C car to come with the recent license

I think AMS2s implementation of the Safety Car is a great immersive feature. Since I'm mostly running multiclass races I would love to see some additions to it:
    • Sorting the cars by class at SC phase instead of current lap position. When the whole field is not on the same lap what happens is that every car in front of the raceleader is allowed to complete a whole lap and sort in at the end of the field, while cars that haven't passed the raceleader will be stuck behind it. So your distance of like 10 seconds can suddenly become a whole lap if the raceleader is in this distance when SC is deployed. Obviously this can ruin races. (this also applies to racestarts, where cars are not sorted by class but qualify times)
    • SC phase should not move to green flag if the whole field hasn't catched up yet. It can happen that the race already restarts before all cars closed the gap to the SC especially for slower classes in a multiclass race.
    • I guess it will be hart to implement at this point, but a differentiation between FCY (countdown to a speed limit without sorting cars) and SC (sorting all cars by classes and position) would be awesome.
And since this is a feature request topic, one more thing
    • Please add the speed limit check at rolling racestart to ALL cars not just the leader. Right now for all cars behind the leader it just checks if you're in the right position, but not your speed. You can easily cheat by hitting the throttle before green lights without any penalty as long as you're still behind the car in front of you at green light. This is a huge issue for multiplayer

An almost identical car is already in the game--twice in different series. Ginetta GT40 (it's own cup series as you request and a slightly different version in GT5).

I know everyone loves the Miata/MX-5, but from a racing point of view, the G40 will give you the same thing.

    Multiplayer feature request.

Could you guys look into additional griding options on a multiplayer server?

During a MP multiclass race, the default option is the faster class car gets gridded between the slower class cars, if it gets a slower quali time than some of the slower class cars.
Would you guys please consider implementing the "Same Class" gridding MP option in multiclass races? Where cars in the same classes are gridded together, with an empty row between the different classes. That way, if a faster class's car gets a quali time that is slower than a slower class car's quali time, it is grouped in the grid together with it's own class.

It would also be great to have separate qualifying for each class.

“All Tyre Compound Must Match” Rule

I’d like to suggest a small but important feature that would greatly improve realism in AMS2, both offline and online: enforcing the rule that all four tyres must use the same compound.

Currently, the game allows us to mix compounds freely (for example, hard tyres at the rear and softs at the front). While technically possible for most classes, this is unrealistic for modern F1 cars such as the Formula Reiza, Formula Ultimate Gen1 & Gen2.

In reality, sporting regulations say that all four tyres must be of the same compound. This restriction was even coded back in rFactor and AMS1, so it feels like a natural addition to AMS2.

Implementing this restriction (only for relevant classes like F-Reiza, F-Ultimate G1/G2, etc.) would p
revent unrealistic “mixed compound” setups, increase immersion and authenticity and improve the fairness of online racing.

It’s a simple rule, but one that would add a lot of depth and realism.

    Thanks for considering!
