I would like to have the possibility to edit single car power in talent files, even for player's one, like in GP4, or a bop and ballast like in AC, to make difference driving different car in same class (for historic F1 series)

VR Mode would be pefect if we get real 3D stereoscopic mirrors like in AC with CSP.
Mirrors being 2D and not reflecting the own car really kills immersion a little bit for me.

these days I learned that a Courage C65 LMP2 with a Mazda rotary raced in 2005, so Reiza, I ask you kindly if you consider expanding the 2005 stuff even more, take a look at this, it would fit perfectly and its pretty quirky and a piece of history:

    I-NRD - LMP-2 Mazda Courage 2005

    Mulsanne's Corner: 2003-2005 Courage C65

You guys already got 90% of the bodyshape, just need the rotary :D

I would like to have the windshield wiped at the pit stop, after 2-4 hours of racing, it feels like I'm in a bunker

Please adjust the tyre wear for AI a bit in order to have it closer to the one of player's car.

In some classe like Formula V-10 Gen 1, player suffers from very high tyre wear whilst AI seems not to be affected.
You do not notice it that much in short races, but if you do longer ones, player must pit sooner or later because of completely worn out rubbers, whilst AI can stay out without losing much time on track.

Very important yes, even better than improving the filter as I requested in the past.
The races should be with damage enabled and drivers should behave properly.
LMU has it, Raceoom has it, Rennsport has it, PMR will have it; any game should have it.
Having a bunch of (messy) listed servers or depending on external systems like LFM is not enough anymore.

A setting for dirt build up on cars, like we have for random failures for example, turn off, authentic, match to race, 2x, 5x and so on. Some people want it to build up fast, some not so much, my case I dont want to race a hour and the car look like it raced a whole day.

Please add more audible braking sound effects, currently only btoken brakes emit sounds, would help with immersion and judging how hard you are braking by ear

    1. Given the new Car Setup save and load structure which sees all of the setups diplayed in one (potentially long) list, would it be possible to include a sort function to, say, sort the setups by Setup Name? This would make it easier to find a setup from that potentially long list of setups for any given car, instead of having to scroll through the list, which it seems, is currently either witout rhyme or reason, or is displayed chronologically, in terms of 'last setup saved', or something similar...

    2. Also, with regards to your Replay .med Files, currently, there is no way to distinguish what the replay contains, with perhaps the small exception that you can sort by Date Modified in your explorer of choice. I wonder, then, is it possible to allow for the .med files to be edited in the Properties Dialogue, under 'Details' such that a short description can be included to give the user some idea of what each particular .med Replay File contains? Currently, if you simply amend the file name to something more recognisable, the .med file does not itself get recognised by the sim when you go to the Replays section in-game. Is there perhaps a workaround for this that you're happy to share?

    Cheers :D

Some features/DLCs that I think would make AMS2 even better:

    - a working flag system for offline mode
    - Macau Grand Prix (Guia circuit) track
    - Acura ARX-06 for the LMDh/GTP class
    - Ford Mustang GT3/GTD

Keep up the good work! :D:hurrayreiza:

I requested these years ago and it felt on deaf ears. Trying my luck again, maybe this time to at least get a response. All camera related functionality.

    Request Title:
Ability to bind keys for camera modes
Description: We still have to cycle through all the camera modes to get to the one we want. This is especially annoying while driving when we want to take a quick glimpse at our car from the outside, but we have to cycle through all the other camera modes.
Benefits: It would be much easier having shortcuts especially for the driver view and chase cam, my two favorite views.

Request Title: Camera rotation is confusingly reversed inside and outside the vehicle.
Description: For example in the driver view, we press the key bound for looking right to look right. But in the chase cam, the same key makes the camera look left, because it instead rotates the camera to the right. In all other driving games that I know, this is synchronized.
Benefits: Less confusion, especially when switching between this and other driving games.

Request Title: Ability to disable auto-centering of chase cam while driving and to look around during replays.
Description: The chase cam auto-centers once the car gets moving. This makes it impossible to check out the suspension while driving. And in replays, the chase camera can't even be moved at all. This makes it impossible to check out what's going on around the car, especially when the track side cam is stuck behind a tree or building.
Benefits: Better visibility, especially for suspension viewing or for replays.

    Based on Game Build: 1.6.8.6
Request Title: Show car models in the menu background
Benefits: The first thing the user sees will be a beautiful model of a beautiful car. Nice!

Hello! I spent too much time thinking about this topic and just have to get it out: The AMS2 menu serves its purpose but looks a little outdated and just lacks 'fun', even after the 1.6 update. If someone from Reiza reads this, here is a secret for you: 100% of your customer base enjoys looking at cars! (Yes, sometimes things are that simple.) And it is not always wrong to do the popular thing: Instead of the dark/red background in the menu make it transparent and show us a car! Add a button that disables the menu tiles and works as a 'new' showroom, just like AC Rally recently did. Let us hover around the car, zoom in and out, maybe turn on/off the headlights - that's it! Oh, and please don't forget the gamepad support for camera movement.

To be clear: I am not a game developer and there are probably reasons you stick to the 2D-menu.
Here are my thoughts how it could work: When the game starts, use the splash screen with all the logos/licenses to load in a map and the last car/livery the player used (the game remebers those anyway so this should work). Yes, this would potentially take longer to load, but we live in 2025 and even my grandpa has a SSD in his notebook. The load time in splash screen seems artifical anyway so use it!
Which map you ask? Well - not the current garage I hope. :p Use one of the beautiful track models you spent hundreds of hours on.
I tought about what this track would need:
    - iconic / modern / interesting design
    - popular in most race classes (F1, endurance, stock car, cup racing, ...)
    - part of the base game, not DLC
Oh, what do we have here? Interlagos, which fulfills all the points above and emphasizes your Brazilian origin. Perfect! Put the car model in a nice corner, set time of day to 5 PM (standard date, no time progression), clear skies, add DoF and BOOM this* is what the menu could look like:

To further reduce loading time, "cut off" all parts of the track the player can't see in this showroom mode. Let the car chill in the back and change to the next model after every session. Add a 20% dirt layer for some extra sauce.

I guess I am not the only one who would like something like this so please take it into your next meeting. :D If it is not already part of the AMS2 roadmap...

    Best wishes from Germany!
    WizL

[Edit: *of course this is only a rough example - you could easily design a much more beautiful menu. All I wanted to show is that the already existing tiles would also work in front of a 3D-map just like the menu before starting a race - even in VR!]

I've been thinking about what makes memorable career modes in other non-racing games. I think the model used in the Football Manager or Pro Evolution Soccer games could work well.

Lets take PES. Their two main career modes were Master League and Become a Legend. Master League historically got you starting at the bottom with a squad of hopeless players and over time you put together your dream team. BAL was similar except you started as a talented young player rather than in charge of a team. Both would later introduce the option to control an existing team without the hopeless players, or control an existing player in whatever situation his career was at at the time.

What made these work is that they generated interesting stories and allowed for infinite replay value. The latter was partly because you could go with any team or player but also because the world around you developed. Teams transferred players around, players aged and their stats developed and teams would be promoted up or relegated down leagues.

This living world also served to hide the fact that in essence your progress was always going to be linear. In BAL your player is destined to be a top player pretty well regardless of what you do. Master League was more player-dependant but as you kept getting funds in regardless the mode was designed to help you move forward.

I'd rather something like this rather than a linear progression-based career mode like PC2 or the old TOCA Race Driver games. I'd like something based on the player having a calendar and receiving contract offers to an inbox and deciding which to take. Maybe the contract is for a series or maybe it's a 3-year deal with Porsche which could see you make your way up through WEC but not formula cars.

This could run in tandem with a license points system with the possibility of progressing upwards but maybe regressing to lower classes and having to push back up again. I don't know how it work but maybe over time older driver names could retire and new ones generated with the same surnames but different first names? Some sort of superficial rivalry element would be awesome.

If I failed to win a championship I'd prefer that my career continued on with that 6th place finish on my record rather than a simple "Try again?". Just like with BAL an option to begin at different stages of a career could also be good. Will you be a young rookie? An established Indycar driver looking to take the leap to F1? An F1 champion moving into endurance racing? These would enable interesting stories to play out each time and add replay value.

Anyway those are my thoughts as I take the train to work!

    Based on Game Build: 1.6.8.6
Request Title: Setting Grid in Lobby before Race
Description: If you running a multiplayer session, it would be good for the host to be able to set the grid order. This would allow reverse grids or grid penalties to be applied manually.
Benefits: Improved League racing and means people don't have to simulate a fake qualifying session to set a grid. Sometimes there are external issues and the race host session needs to be restarted after a qualifying session. This would allow the host to set practice \ race and then set the grid in the lobby based off a previously run qualifying session.

    Based on Game Build: 1.6.8.6
Request Title: Allow users to set a real name in their Profile and use it in multiplayer
Description: Add a real name "First Name" \ "Last Name" option in the user profile. Users can then use this with a checkbox in game, instead of their Steam name.
Benefits: Improves immersion in single player with AI. Provides the option for leagues that require real names used. This pushes AMS2 towards being a an option for eSports \ League usage.
