Request Title: Bring back alphabetical list of vehicles.
Description: At one point we used to be able to find cars by their manufacturer name rather than looking for them in each group.
Benefits: It would be easier to find cars from specific manufacturers this way.

Request Title: Add some missing stats to vehicle descriptions.
Description: What I'd like to see is the RPM range at which the peak torque occurs and also the model years of each vehicle. Some cars have the year mentioned in the group, but most don't seem to have this.
Benefits: It would help us get to know our cars better, including at what RPM to expect peak torque.

Request Title: Removal of unused car groups.
Description: There are loads of car groups i never use, and tracks i never use, i know there is a preset page there, but it would be great just to hide the Cars/Groups and tracks people don't use.
Benefits: Not scrolling through cars and tracks i never use, like there is only a few F1 cars i use, just think it would be a great little option to have.

Being able to "favorite" classes and tracks and having them at the top of the list might be better.

Building on this. It would also be great to have racing series that are "alive" and changing. This would mean tracks are able to rotate in and out of certain racing series as long as they are up to the standard the rules of the series dictate. This would make the career feel so alive. Imagine going back to a series or continuing to the next year to dicover they are adding or replacing a track that you like. Would make it feel a lot more personal and immersive

The other day a thought occurred to me about a feature that could potentially multiply the replayability of a future career mode, especially once active development of AMS2 ends.

What if the career mode could not only draw from the large pool of official vanilla and DLC content, but from mod cars and series as well?

Depending on how the career mode might work, we could keep it simple and assign just a few specifications to each series in the game, i.e. year or era (vintage, retro, classic, modern, "revival" - historic cars on modern tracks), type (club/sprint/endurance as well as touring cars, GT, open wheel, prototype, stock car, kart, etc.) and tier (i.e. let's say karting is typically Tier 5 whereas F1, and prototypes in WEC and IMSA are Tier 1 - high stakes, high payout, tough competition, etc.). Each series - official and modded - should also come with a description of what it is about, and perhaps some tidbits about its history as well.

Each modder would then be able to make use of the existing structure (and potentially even add in new categories, depending on how flexible the career mode structure is), so the events and/or contracts generated over the course of a career can draw seamlessly from official and modded content.

This could also work for mod tracks, though from I remember there were still some issues left in modded tracks (severe bugs, visual issues and AI behavior) that have yet to be resolved.

I feel like this would not only exponentially increase the appeal of career mode to many people, but also provide a stronger incentive for modders to release content for Automobilista 2 well past the end of its active development by Reiza.

I've mentioned this before but I've been thinking about it more - another mode idea I'd love to see is somewhere between Assetto Corsa's challenges and Gran Turismo's License Tests.

On PS1 there was an official UEFA Champions League football game released which included a game mode called Scenario. The idea was you were put into real scenarios from football history - in the 1999 final you are Man Utd, you're 0-1 down and have 10 minutes to score twice and win (which happened in real life) and others which drew from real events.

With all the historical content we have on ams2 this would be a great way to use it. 1995 Donnington GP - it's wet and you start 6th. By the end of lap 1 you must be in the lead to pass the scenario (as Senna did). 2019 Monaco GP- finish the race in one piece and 1st place with dead medium tyres like Lewis.

There are no end of real-world historical scenarios across the various classes and tracks and then an infinite amount which could be invented by Reiza, including sector or section time challenges which I'd love as well.

I have no idea what I'm talking about but it would seem easy to put this together with a huge payoff to the player base plus there's nothing quite like it out there. Not to mention if the doors become more open to modders in future people could create their own with their own track and car combos.

    Based on Game Build: 1.6.8.6
Request Title: Ideas for Future Updates.
Description: I have some ideas for future updates:
More flexibility in the Time Scaler feature (ex. 3x, 4x, 6x etc.). I really think there should be more options for the Time Scaler. You can only do: 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x etc. for the Time Scaler.
More 2005 cars and tracks to add in so I can do the American Le Mans Series season and I can do Classic European Le Mans Series as well.
    Cars:
    LMP1
MG-Lola EX257 (ran by Dyson Racing)
Zytek 04-s (ran by Zytek Engineering)
Pescarolo c60 (ran by Pescarolo Racing)
Riley & Scott MK III C (ran by Autocon Motorsports)
    LMP2
Courage C65 AER Turbo (ran by Miracle Motorsports)
Courage C65 Mazda (ran by B-K Motorsports)
    GT1
Saleen S7R (ran by Aremco Motorsports)
Corvette C6.R (ran by Corvette Racing)
Ferrari 550 Maranello (ran by Larbre Competition)
    GT2
Panoz Esperante GTLM (ran by Panoz Motorsports)
Spyker C8 Spyder (ran by Spyker Squadron)
TVR 400R (ran by Team LNT)
    GT1 1997-1998
Panoz GTR-1 (ran by David Price Racing)
Lister Storm GTL (ran by Newcastle United Lister)
Lotus GT1 (ran by GBF UK Ltd.)
    Tracks:
    2001 Nurburgring Grand Prix Layout
    2005 Lime Rock Park Layout
    2005 Mid-Ohio Layout
    Sonoma Raceway Layouts
    2005 Portland Layout
Benefits: I would really like to do the 2005 American Le Mans Series season with as many of the tracks they ran at in the real life season. I'm sure everyone else would like to do the same thing.

Can we get the option to add / remove the animated steering wheel from in the race menu? I only use the animated wheel when I'm in a car that has the digital display on the wheel ie Formula or LMDH. Sometimes I forget to turn it on / off depending on which car I previously drove. If I start a race in a car that has the digital display on the wheel but I forgot to turn it on, I have to exit out of the race before it begins and turn it on in the main menu and then start the race again.

I want track marshals when a incidend occures, like they have promised at the beginning of the beta in 2020. I want cranes coming up when a car strands, to remove it and I want cars being left at trackside when they are in a safe position, like it was in GP2. When do you release those features, Reiza?

Request Title: Adjustable formation lap and safty car speed
Description: The speed is at fix values (120 kph). With several series (cars / trucks) it's not possible to reach this speed especally when doing flying start without formating lap.
And during FCY with the same cars, it is not possible (at least for the player) to keep this speed in corners.
Benefits: Using trucks or low powered cars reducing the speed will give much better control about what is happening on track or with your car. And for ovals, a higher speed could be used.
I would suggest an adjustable range of between 60 and 180kph.

Request Title: Two (or more) start grids
Description: With different car categories, i.e. in endurance races, they should be split in their starting gid --- maybe as an user - option. Means there are single start grids of Prototypes (LMP1/2-classes) and GT (GT1/2-classes) and another if using a further categorie.
Or if using together cars, karts, trucks, they are all in their own grid.
Benefits: This will sort the field before the start of race. Means if there are low qualified LMP1 cars they will start low within their LMP-grid and not at the end of field behind all GTs and others. This will avoid reckless driving through the field of higher powered and faster class cars.

Given that it is know that some form of stock car/oval racing dlc will be coming in the future, I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and add a couple of track and car suggestions to the list, as I think these would help add some uniqueness to both the future oval content, as well some of the existing road course/endurance racing content.

    1. Talladega Superspeedway (1983)

While it might seem odd to pick the 1983, the reason I have is because this was the version of Talladega that still had in interior road course. Making it ideal for those who want to push stock cars to the absolute max on the oval, as well as for sports car lovers who are looking for a unique road course experience that effectively enhances and builds upon Daytona's road course design.

    2. New Hampshire International Speedway

Like Talladega, New Hampshire also has some unique configurations that allow it to play host to more than just stock car racing. While the oval has historically been a good source of short track excitement, the criss crossing road course layout also offer a truly distinct racing experience. Given that within this 1.6 mile configuration is a substantial amount of elevation changes that really help it stand out in the crowd. One moment you are passing someone on the outside of turn one, and the next your side by side going straight up the hill on your way to the carousel.

    3. Columbus Street Circuit

Pretty much forgotten to time, this was part of the city's attempt to get out of the cow town status which it held at the time. Crossing over two bridges and making extensive use of an old country road, this track played host to ams2's Corvette gtp/group C car and proved rather popular with city residents at the time. In fact, the only reason for its demise was that the city was looking to move one of the two bridges used by the track and both the city and race organziers (IMSA) were unable to come to an agreement on how to continue hosting the race during the construction period.

Remember When Downtown Was Transformed Into A Racetrack? A Look Back At The Columbus 500

    4. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

I'll keep this one short as it's already been request by others, but Mid-Ohio has been involved in just about every major American motorsport out there. Having it added to ams2 would help fill a major historical and modern day gap in the sims USA offerings.

    Cars:

    2. Dallara IR-05

Yes this is the car that sadly took Wheldons life in its very final race, but the IR-05 and its Indy Racing League colleagues are a very overlooked portion of 2000s American open wheel history within sim racing. No, it will never have or deserve the same fame or respect that the warp 9 capable CART chassis have, but it is still a piece of racing history that I think could find a home within ams2. Its Honda or Chevrolet 90 degree flat plane crank V8 engines giving off an unforgettable sound that many people such as myself, grew up with throughout the 2000s. To this day I still remember my family turning on the TV to watch the 500, and always seeing (sometimes almost feeling) the ground shake as these cars began zipping around at 200 miles an hour.

    3. Panoz G-Force GF-05 & GF-09 (AKA Panoz's Zombie Cars)

Similar in many ways to the IR-05, these cars were intended to act as alternative options to what Dallara had at the time. In the case of the GF-05, this car would prove to be relatively successful during its time competing. Going on to carry Juan Pablo Montoya to his Indy 500 win in 2000. Unfortunately while the GF-09 would still win the 500, its success proved to be not as extensive as its predecessor. With the chassis being completely dropped by all teams at the start of 2008. Needless to say, both chassis had very unique styling and silhouettes and very much were a part of the American oval racing scene during the 2000s. Thus, like IR-05 I feel that both of these cars would also be at home in ams2 and make for a unique open wheel offering that would also help add to the current nostalgia that is the 2000 racing scene.

    Hi guys, I'm new here,

the time travel back to 2005 was so good and fun indeed, great thanks for that to Reiza! It's worth to continue and I hope it will goes like this: following the great Historic endurance pack 1, the next step should be to complete it.
My idea of (Deam) Historic (2005) endurance pack 2:

    2005 LMP1:
-Zytek 04S (ALMS, Laguna Seca winner, LMES, Le Mans)

    2005 LMP2:
-Porsche RS Spyder (ALMS Laguna Seca)

    2005 GT1:
-Saleen S7 R (ALMS Laguna Seca)
-Ferrari (Modena?) 550 GTS (FIA GT)

    2005 GT2:
    -Panoz Esperante (ALMS)

    Non 2005:
    -old GT1: Panoz GTR-1

and finally, it's a year later, but a 'must have' essential car, an icon, a legend:
-2006 Audi R10 TDI (ALMS, Le Mans)

Is it possible or realistic? It would be satisfying for everyone? What do you think?

I wasn't familiar with the Columbus circuit, it's really nice, thank you. I agree with New Hampshire, it would be a great addition to AMS2.

Request Title 1: Add 'conditional' damage repair for pit stops
Description: Currently as far as I can tell the only options for repairs in pit stops are "Yes" and "No", so if you have a 'repair' strategy in place it will repair/replace the parts scheduled for repair whether they are damaged or not. I think it would be really helpful to have a percentage-based threshold so you could set your repair strategy to only repair if parts are damaged enough, or in the case of the engine, if there are potentially race-ending mechanical failures, such as the oil leak I picked up a few days ago which resulted in a 2 1/2-minute pit stop, after spinning out trying to enter the pits due to trying to change strategies on the fly, which leads me to...

Request Title 2: Add shortcut keys to switch between pit strategies WITHOUT needing to use the ICM
Benefits: Currently as far as I know the only way to change pit strategies during a race is to use the ICM and navigate through a couple of menus and then get to the pit strategy selection line and then pick the right one, all whilst trying to maintain race pace. It's too hard and it's unrealistic, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who's had problems with it. Being able to have "Strategy Up" and "Strategy Down" pit stop keybindings (that can be bound to controller buttons as well as the keyboard) would be an massive improvement in this area.

Combined, these two improvements would make a huge difference to the changing conditions in races - I usually set my default pit strategy to only replace tyres, but if you have a shunt or two and need repairs during the race it needs to be easier to pit for minor repairs without having to a) navigate a menu and b) have everything repaired even if it doesn't need it.

I'd like to see driver animations anticipate gear changes. When driving cars with stick or sequential shifters in VR, the gear change animation is a little jarring.

Wondering if it's possible for the hand to move to the shifter before the gear change happens.

Eg. Throttle at 100%, approaching red line, move hand to shifter to anticipate gear change. Likewise on deceleration?

Loving the new historical GT content. Even bought a cheap sequential shifter to feel more immersed

Also, the toggle for disabling the stick gear shifts animations altogether would be good for the people who use paddle shifters for all the cars in the game in VR, like me. It might not be the most realistic thing but giving an option to the users would be good.
