The Feature Request Thread...

I still wish we had more slots for Livery overrides for the LM Stock USA Gen 3.

 

Here's an idea. Depending on how immersive and hardcore career mode is, why not add a driver health system, where in order to stay focused, (a la have clear vision and normal input response times), you have to make use of the drinks bottle and manage it over the course of a stint. In the event that you run out of drink/water before your next stop, perhaps depending on stint length your vision could narrow or get blurry at times with your control inputs having a little bit more latency than they usually do as a result of driver fatigue.

The more I read this the more hair brained it sounds. But hey, one can at least imagine

 

I would like the option to save during a race

 

Cant wait for DLSS and DLAA implementation, after TAA is in the game. I am confident we will get it. Thank you Reiza for your work sof far. You do not ignore VR users.

 

The ultimate power move for VR would be implementing quad view foveated rendering, one can dream.

 

Expect DLSS the most because it's my best graphics setting solution in ACC and F1 2020 to have both good quality and steady 120fps. I think it can also work best on AMS2. Thank you!

 

Knowing that Ford content is potentially on the way, I would love to see the inclusion of the Probe GTP to the current Group C lineup

 

Phew, I have a lot of wishes

1. Track Day: I like immersion and would find it great if AI cars could be added, because then you don’t feel so alone when testing.
   
   
2. More statistics: How often have I won on a track and with which car? What lap times did I set? When I look at past seasons, unfortunately I can’t see what position I achieved. Basically, I have absolutely no information about past championships. Presumably this will come with the career mode. At the moment I write everything down myself or create screenshots.
   
   
3. Not a feature request but a content request: More tracks… I’m willing to pay between €5–15 for a new track or several tracks. Hungaroring, Portimão, COTA, and so on. It would also be damn cool to have new / current formula cars (F2 / F3 / F4, etc.). A Ferrari DLC pack would be an absolute dream! Can definitely be more expensive so you can afford the licenses. Then I’d also like more GT3 cars. I couldn’t really do anything with the last DLC packs, but I still bought them to support Reiza. So give something back haha
   

 

@Songan ad number 1, the solution is basically to set it up as a single race with an arbitrarily long practice session,which you never finish.

 

Would it be possible to get a free cam that can follow the car in replay mode?

Like how in acc you can position the camera to be aimed at one of the wheels or move it around inside the car etc.

Loving AMS2 but my main issue is it is really hard to make good looking content with the static free cam, since you have to constantly move it all the time, or use the trackside or onboard cams which often have obstructions or dont show the action properly and look quite stale.

If you could just pin the free cam to the movement of the car then we could make our own camera angles for content creation.

 

I have a somewhat unconventional wishlist: I hope the game can add more lower-class oval racing cars (such as Dirt Sprintcars and Super Late Models, and even better if NASCAR Truck Series is included), along with some rallycross or off-road content (low-class options like Kartcross and F-Dirt already exist—adding things like Group B rallycross cars, AMSOIL Offroad vehicles and tracks would be great). I think this would make the career mode quite comprehensive, offering complete progression paths for all types of racing events.

 

There are several points in multiplayer that should be improved:

1- The ability to save each configuration when opening a server, since entering any room erases what you've configured.
2- The server creator should have the power to directly remove participants or make the voting system work (currently it doesn't).
3- The ability to block users (VERY IMPORTANT). Any player should be able to be blocked. I think this is a good step to avoid reports, and all those cheaters or troublemakers would start being left alone without being able to participate. When a blocked player or the one who blocked them wants to be on the same server, a message should appear explaining why they can't join the game.
4- The ability to organize multiplayer tournaments like in single-player, without needing external websites. Just like in single-player, it should be possible to organize them in multiplayer.

Well, I hope this is the place to post ideas. I have more ideas that I think aren't too complicated, involving programs that I believe would greatly help this great game.

Very small and quick request to better appreciate the graphical beauty of AMS2 at Sunset.
At a minimum, please allow the time of day to adjustment by 15 min increment instead of 1 hour.

Better yet, separate the minutes and let us type whatever value we want.

 

Having an option to make sure the helmet does not move on your head in VR (no matter the cockpit movement settings).

Having a 70s/80s variant of every track in the game? (those not already got one)

Do you have any clue? I didn't knew that Reiza confirmed such a statement.

 

Looking forward to jumping on AMS2 this wk end. Keeps getting better and better , I may have missed it if mentioned elsewhere but can I ask is it still the intention to create the short outlap for the combined Nordshleife and GP track so we dont have to do a massive outlap ? This feature is so needed.

This is going to be my first post in the forum. I am a big AMS2 fan. I think that is by far the best simulator nowadays. And despite this being my very first message I've been reading the forum during a long time. So I'm not really new hehehe.

Nice to meet you and let's go to the topic.

I think that all of us will agree that what makes AMS2 so good is the different content that Reiza offer us, content that you don't see anywhere else. Specially the classic content. Because let's be honest, the golden years of racing are gone. So why don't take advantage of them?

The first category that comes to my mind is the CAN-AM. First of all you a have a lot of tracks from the USA. And many of them look like they did back in the day.

Imagine having this in a Simulator.




Also I think that If we want to make a more consistent carreer we need more middle open wheel cars. Maybe an F3 from the 80's or a F3000 from the 90's. The FV10 gen 3 is needed also based in the seasons 2002-2003 or 2004.

Now. The cool thing from Reiza also is that every region of the world is well represented. You have content from South America, from North America, Europe and even Australia. But I miss something. I miss something really important in motorsport and that is Japan.

We need more Japanese content. What about the Super Silhouette?



You want something more modern and different? Turismo Carretera from Argentina. The best sounding cars of the world. Most of people don't know about this category but I can guarantee you that they will fall in love with it.



Also would be nice more GT Classics to complete the category.

Now. Let's go with the tracks. Honestly, I don't want Barhein, Portimao, COTA or all this typical tracks that are everywhere. The wolrd is full of amazing tracks that a lot of people seems to ignore.

Here is my list:

- Fuji (with classic layout also): F1 raced there and also very important track for endurance. WEC still race there.
- Zandvoort (with classic layout also): F1 race there and is one of the best tracks of the world.
- Jarama: A track that you don't see anywhere and again, one of the best tracks of the world. Some people used to call it the most technical track of the world.
- Montjuic (the classic version): Another beautiful street track that was lost in time. F1 race there in the 70's and also there were endurance races.
- Enna Pergusa: A beatiful track arround a lake in the south of Italy that you don't see anywhere. F3000 raced there in the 90's and early 2000's I think.

And tracks that I think that need a classic layout:
- Monaco.
- Kansai (Suzuka).

Now to finish I would like to ask for some features that I would love to see:

1. A helmet editor: Nothing crazy, just a few templates and the hability to choose the colours.
2. A new replay system. Honestly, the one we have is very bad. The new free camera is good but yeah. Not enough, I would like to see something like Iracing or Raceroom with a lot of TV cameras. So you can watch your replays as if they are real races. I think all of us love to do this. Also the option of a filter would be good for the vintage races. Or more vintage TV graphics.
3. The hability to create different drivers profiles so when you are doing an endurance race and you change the driver is a "real driver" with his flag, name and everything. Would be nice if you could adjust his skills like agression. If he is very quick on dry but makes more mistakes during the rain or the night. Etc. To feel like if your team mate is real and not a machine.
4. Improve the IA. The IA sometimes is from another world, just perfection. But not always. The IA trains need to be solved ASAP because It just ruins the inmersion and also they are very difficult to pass in those situatios because you have to pass several cars at the same time.
5. The damage model. Something is wrong there because It doesnt apply in the same way to me than the IA. If the IA hits me my car gets completly destroyed but the IA is like nothing.
6. Tire punctures.
7. Better pit crew animations. For some reason I can not see the pit crew of the rest of the teams and also I can't see them during the replay. Would be nice also If It was the posibility to edit their uniforms for the modders.
8. Rework the helmet cam, I don't know how to exlpain it but It just doesn't look good.

So this is my wishlist.

We need more early 80s Nascar models to compliment the awesome 83-87 Monte Carlo SS model...the flat rear window A-FRAME bodies.

This era of NASCAR racing was some of the best before it became too fast at Daytona and Talladega and restrictor plates were implemented. It's long over looked and a many players of AMS2 have found out, it's a lot of fun to drive these cars.
