    • Add an alarm at the beginning of the multiplayer pre-race lobby so AFK players know the practice/qualification is over and they can return and hit "ready".
    • Bring back the pedal position display to the new HUD.

    When I press and hold "Centre VR" button, I would like to have a thin line overlay appear and run down the centre of the screen to help align with the real world wheel centre in either pass through. or for peaking out the bottom of the headset.

    Also, when you have aligned your virtual wheel to the real wheel with the seat up down forwards backwards buttons, allow the seat settings to lock so you can use them with every car without having to redo the process.

    Time of Day:
    Some areas at 7am are dark. Other areas at 7am are full day light. Because of the performance hit of night time racing it'd be nice to have a preset "night, dawn, sunrise, mid day, sunset, dusk" so there's no surprises on the lighting you'll see when you set up a race.
    For eg. Start race at sunrise , end race at sunset, race lasts for 10 laps and the time scale adjusts automatically to fit. No risk of headlamps being turned on and lowering performance.

    Would love to see a grid editor in both single player and multiplayer. The ai can make a real mess in qualifying- either they can’t get a clear lap and either not set representative lap times or not even record a lap when your doing it live, as soon as you end session (not live) the grid is generally correct - but multiplayer doesn’t have this luxury. By having a tool to set the grid would be ideal.

    the ideal solution would be to fix the ai having these issues.

    A thing that has been reported with the AIs is, how dangerously they rejoin the track when going wide. For this reason, there has to be a feature which turns a car going wide into a ghost car until the driver is safely back on the track!

    I would love to have new track surface sound effects for the Carousel corners at Nordschleife. Irl onboard videos you can very often hear this distinctive „impact“ sound once the car drops into the banking followed by clearly audible rumbling sound all the way through the turn(s). Both illustrate how violent it is to go through those corners and you can tell that the surface is different to the rest of the track. In AMS2 I can see that some effort has been put into this but I think the sound effects could be much, much louder, especially in the Caracciola Carousel.

    Another thing that could make AMS2 career mode truly special would be taking advantage of the space potentially left by ACC in the future and trying to secure an SRO license partnership.

    I know AMS2 already has its own identity and should absolutely keep its historical and multi-discipline focus, but adding official SRO content could bring several advantages at the same time:

    • more prestige and visibility for the game;
    • a larger GT-focused player base;
    • a stronger modern GT ecosystem inside AMS2;
    • better understanding and recognition of GT categories for casual players;
    • potentially easier access to some manufacturers and GT-related licenses.
    And most importantly, I think it could integrate extremely well with the type of career mode AMS2 seems uniquely capable of offering.

    Imagine a career where:

    • you start in historical touring cars or Formula categories;
    • move through GT1/GT2 and endurance racing;
    • eventually reach modern GT3 championships with official SRO presentation and structure.
    That would make the career mode feel like a true evolution of motorsport across eras, rather than a disconnected collection of championships.

    AMS2 already has something many sims do not: historical depth and category variety. Combining that with an official modern GT ecosystem could make the game feel like a complete “motorsport universe”.

    Not just a GT simulator.
    Not just a historical sandbox.
    But a real virtual motorsport journey through decades of racing history.

    I'm not sure this has been discussed before, but a 'Variation'-slider could be useful along with the AI Skill settings. Some classes work well when everyone is pretty much close together, others would benefit from being more spread out.

    Some sort of broad-strokes setup options for those of us who aren't yet setup wizards would be good!

    Simple options like "more top speed" "more stability in corners" and things like that could really help me. Sometimes I'll try a car and it'll feel very squirrelly and it feels like a lot of work will be needed to get it to sit well for me.

    I think a few quick settings for each car will help the sim fit into its niche of a quick pick up offline game for those who only have small windows of time to race (I'm one of those)

    Based on Game Build:1.6.9.5
    Request Title: Hud switch sides prevent burn-in
    Description: At boot HUD switches left/right as HUD-widgets as located as.
    Benefits: Preventing burn-in Oled displays.
    Downside: centred widgets won't switch, but stay as they are.

    How do you want to become fast or consistent if you don't want to learn the physics working in a car? There is no simple thing like overall corner stability. Like if you brake the weigth will shift towards the front, so when the rear steps out on corner entry it means your front tires have too much grip so you need to decrease front grip (increasing front ARB). On corner exit the weigth shifts back to the rear tires, so if your rear steps out here you don't have enough grip on the rear tires so you could decrease the rear ARB. So you could build a setup that is heavily understeering just by doing that (you could top it with more aero too) and therefore more "easy" to drive, but it's a bit of a trap thinking this means the car has better corner stability since you actually need oversteer to get the maximum rotation to be fast. To me how this all connects is part of the fun of simracing.

    I think you don't even need big setup knowledge if you want to adjust minor things to your liking. You bascially can adjust enough with Brake Balance (How balanced can you trailbrake without locking), Front ARB (corner entry), Rear ARB (corner exit) & Rear Aero (downforce for corners costing speed) to push a car to behave more towards how you like it.

    Also think about what overhead it will create for Reiza if every single car now comes with different setups which needs adjustments with every further pyhsics update.

    Wouldn't it be easier to just move the HUD like 3-4 pixels around the location in regular intervalls?

    I'm not sure it needs to be all that involved. Some kind of wizard with 5 questions about what you'd like to change and then it makes some adjustments.

    I'd love to learn all about setup and take the time to tweak cars and then run laps and tweak them again etc and I understand how all of that will make me a better driver, but I get an hour or two a week if that, and would rather just drive with that time.

    Project Cars 2 had something similar if I remember correctly. It's just an idea and a request that's all :)

    I would suggest allowing to set up hud brightness as a setting ingame.
    Most oled tv's and monitors have quite sophisticated anti burn in protections these days and being able to dim the hud would very likely prevent it from becoming an issue at all, without requiring the swapping between sides etc.

    edit: if you use reshade with the reno dx mod you can actually set up hud brightness differently to the game brightness.
    That doesnt affect simhub overlays for example though.

    OVAL tracks in AMS2 need to have a rule specific to only those types of tracks - when speeding in the pits there under green flag conditions there has to be a drive-through penalty added. Real life oval racing does not give time penalties for speeding in the pits.

    Given how long oval races have been in AMS2 and especially since Nascar has been added, i am unpleasantly surprised that this is still not a feature in the game. These time penalties on ovals have to go.

    Same how it would be great if entering a close pitlane would not be a time penalty but a proper "Go to the tail end of the longest line" penalty. But for a start at least the drive-throughs would be great.

    I'll go out on a limb and assume this kind of thing is hopefully being worked on alongside things like tyre rules such as requiring 2 dry compounds for F1 and limited tyre sets for endurance weekends. It'd also be nice to have things like minimum pitstop times, stint length requirements, etc. etc. But really it might just end up getting too complex at that point.

    Opening up more rules to be customised by the player for a race weekend would probably be ideal, then the presets can make it easier for those who don't understand what to do.

    If not mentioned already, it would be great if with StockCar US G1, G2, G3
    1)
    the amount of fuel (in garage and for pit stops) is measured in:
    -splash, 1/2 can, 1 can, 1 1/2 can, 2 can
    2)
    ability to add/remove tape during pit stop
    3)
    change trackbar during pit stop
    4)
    one side tire change at pit stop
    5)
    changing tire pressure at pit stop
    6)
    add / remove wedge at pit stop (or is it already?)

    I have a feature request:

    Add an option to display corner and straight names, track areas on screen while driving and whilst in replay mode.

    You could place them top center for example.
    They would fade in and fade out.
    It would do a lot to increase people's awareness / educate on track corner names and it would facilitate discussions about what happened where.
    For example with Road America: If there is no corner name it would show just "T1", but at The Kink it would show "T11 - The Kink"

    Could you add the third spring telemetry to the shared memory, so that it can be used in Motec for setup tuning?
    Also on that part it would be nice to maybe have a dedicated telemetry output at around 200hz to make damper histograms useful, as the current maximum of 60hz is not statistically relevant to set them correctly, and rely upon feeling to tune the fast/slow balance

    An in-game button to reload Custom AI..
    That would be more useful for modders, but still a cool feature when for some reason an external app do some changes to AI skills and you don't want to reload the game to apply it..
